I love how you captured the light reflections on the birds. I have never seen anybody do that before! That was very lovely where you caught the beak reflections in the water.
Really great photos! You should get some for printing from this bunch. I am especially intrigued by the one with the reflections showing under the log.
I guess I hadn't realized it before (though I have seen it) that large birds use their wings to help them balance when they are moving through tree branches - using them like arms.
You did discover an oasis. Glad you went back for your camera and the birds were still there! Lovely photos. It's interesting how the blue heron matures.
