Oh gosh, so many big scary things happening. I hope Pete will be ok. :( That was very nice of you to give away your tree of life.

Yes, is is scary--the not knowing part of how it will all turn out. We did find out today the doctor will not do both hips at once. One because of Pete's age and the other because of him having sleep apnea. The wheels are turning slowly and now Friday or next Monday we should find out when they will schedule the preliminary tests he needs to take before they can schedule the surgery.

I definitely (and know my sister does, too) feel blessed to have both the wonderful parents we had. Their love and devotion to each other and their family were what made us so very proud of them.

I suppose everyone's tree/family will look different, won't it? Maybe you'll make a new one someday; but a very kind act, to give it away to that woman.

Yes, I just might make another one someday, but it will probably be different.

So lovely that you gave away your tree of life! And something else will come along even better to take it's place.

There is so much to remember about mom. It would take hours and days to recall it all.

I'm glad Pete is getting this done. He deserves to live without pain.

Yes, there is so much to remember about mom. Every day or so a new memory will pop into my mind about mom that I had forgotten about or hadn't thought about in years.

Giving that woman your Tree of Life piece was a mitzvah. A very worthy deed. Anything you were asked to do before was simply commerce; this was a blessing.
I'm glad Pete's getting something so essential that he's needed for a while.
I'm also glad you and your sister have such wonderful feelings about your mother. I hope some day my daughter may feel likewise about me.

Thank you . . . such a nice thing to say in such a nice way.

Our family was/is extremely close ... very loving and caring devotion for each other. Yes, I have the same feelings about my daughters and we have tried to raise them in much the same way we were raised.
