Oh, the weeds! For every one I pull out, three more take its place it seems. Growing in the pots there shouldn't be any weeds I hope.

I like your idea of "painting the flowerpots" ... neat ~ I might have to try that!

I have painted many a terra cotta pot over the years, but this is the first time I've painted plastic ones.

Those flowers are pretty! Good idea to paint the pots.

Maybe now your hubby is retired he can grow some flowers? Perennials that flower a lot of the time would be good.

That would be nice if he would.
Yes, I like tough perennials that keep coming back each year. The lantana will, I don't know about the perslane, it might, but those tall white ones are just annuals.

I love lantana. Especially colored mixed ones like that of pink, and yellow. I never thought about spray painting pots. They look great. I hope they'll hold up to the elements. I have white hanging baskets like the one the nepenthes is in.

This paint I bought says it is also for painting plastic, so we will see. These brown pots I bought have a very rough surface, so that might help the paint to stay longer. But I doubt very much if it will hold up completely to the birds, the sun, etc. I'm expecting chips or scrapes, there's no getting around that out in the elements. I love the multi colored lantana, too. I still have some going strong after several years.
