I'm glad to hear things are getting back to normal. Lovely photos as always. BTW, if you ever have time I'm doing a little experiment asking people how many types of birds they can list from memory. It's a screened post here. http://thagirion.livejournal.com/650155.html

Thanks for the heads up. I would have eventually found your post, but then it might have been too late.

I got your list. Thanks for posting. It's a good one. Yeah, when you just think of birds you've seen in your area there are actually a lot.

Thanks, Joan. I'll check it out. I do like the look of the canvas wrap and have always wanted to try it.

The old barn nestled in the autumn trees is RICH! Very nice pic, Kathy.

I really like it, too. As close as we lived to this place, I never got to see this view of it. The highway runs behind it all and what I've always seen from the road driving by is just the front of that little white house.

Beautiful photos!

Is Pete retired for good now?

Well, we thought this might be his last week, but they have asked if he'd work through Thanksgiving now.

I sort of doubt if he'll retire for good now. He's talking about trying to find just some little thing to keep him "out of trouble." So we'll see . . .
