My moon from last night. My friend auntysocial saw a pink moon where she lives in CA.

You did a great job. I've never been able to get that much detail in my moon pictures.

Thanks! I am just learning to use some manual settings. I've always relied on automatic and let the camera do it all.

I'm going to have to try something like that setting now - I knew it had to be a quicker setting than I was using but had no idea that it would need to be that fast! I love the photo!

I tried automatic settings on the camera, but it wouldn't even let me take the picture, so I had no choice but go into a manual setting. I was surprised when it even turned out.

The moon actually was so bright last night and the detail was quite exquisite. I don't have a camera to take these kinds of photos, but I did use my binoculars ~ nothing fancy, but just to see 'a little better' ~ it was amazing!

Yes, it sure was a bright one. Like the sun coming up in darkness.

I wish my camera would take photos like what I see through binoculars. So much detail and sharpness and light. I love looking at things through binoculars. I

Yes, this moon was much bigger and brighter than the ones in November and December. When I first saw this really bright light through the trees at the back of the yard, I wasn't even sure what I was looking at.

Wow! I'm astonished that you could get a photo this good without a tripod! (I never could, my hands shake these days).
