I went on my walk late this morning because I knew low tide wasn’t until about 11:30. Went on the beach and saw this poor little starfish, stunned by the cold. I wish I knew what I could do to help in a situation like this when it’s so cold, but I do not know.

They are about 6-8" in length. The insides are really pretty, a rainbow iridescent mother of pearl, similar to abalone.

You should have seen me when I first saw them. It was such a surprise, at first I wasn't even sure what I was looking at, I just stood there and stared at them for a long time, not believing what I was seeing.
Hey, I don't think you'll need to bring boots (you said to keep your feet warm) because it is supposed to be in the 70s the week you are here. Be sure to bring old, comfortable walking shoes.
