Day 11 - A show that disappointed you
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. It's sad, really. I was so, so excited for this show. It was Aaron Sorkin, who it's pretty obvious by now is my absolute favorite; it was Bradley Whitford, who was the David Tennant of my early 20s; it was Matthew Perry, who I thought rocked the Sorkinese when he guested on "West Wing." It had the buzz of being the best pilot ever produced in the history of time. BW and MP had fantastic and effortless chemistry together. I just had such high hopes for this show. And then it just...fizzled. I don't even remember anymore exactly what I felt went wrong, although I do remember that my favorite character ended up being Steven Weber's character (he was so much awesomer than I expected!), and that the show pulled together a decent Christmas episode (always a Sorkin strong suit). But, on the whole, the most disappointing show I can remember.
