TV Meme--Day 5
Day 05 - A show you hate
Robin Hood. I watched every single episode of this stupid show. Well. I say "watched," I mean "let it play in the background while I did other things and looked up whenever I heard Richard Armitage." Because I watched the show entirely for him. I remember basically nothing about anything that happened in any episode of this show, except that it was STUPID. It wasn't even ridiculous, laughable, over-the-top fun, because it seemed to think it was a Serious Show and that Jonas Armstrong was hot and could act and that we wouldn't all be on Sir Guy's side. But I definitely was on Sir Guy's side, even though that was only because he was played by Richard Armitage, because Sir Guy was really stupid, too. After a while, I didn't understand why every week Sir Guy would have multiple opportunities to kill Robin Hood and NEVER DID. I mean, I know he couldn't because the show had to go on, but it strained credulity for me. All heroes have to have kind of useless archenemies, I get it, but it just drove me crazy on that show. And then they did this weird thing at the end and made it so that Sir Guy and Robin Hood had adulterous parents who then had a kid named Archer. And I know he was named Archer because when he was introduced, the characters kept saying, "This is Archer." "Have you met Archer?" "This new man's name is Archer."
I can only assume that this show was written for three-year-olds, and Richard Armitage was inserted to distract mothers. Nevertheless: I hated it.
