Finally, after much longing for, the UK trip arrived. The hours at work had been brutal, and the adrenaline crashes have been brutal, including one at 12:30 in the morning of the trip, that had me collapsing into bed before I could finish packing. I felt better after sleeping for a few hours and woke up early on Thursday morning totally ready to go ( Read more... )

I wish I was only flying from Boston. My flight will be double that. Yikes. Worst part of any trip. No, probably the worst is the flight home, which is longer and less exciting.

I need to look into moving to the east coast! If only for ease of UK travel. :)

My squee icon? Thanks! It used to have more frames in it, because I was going to the BAFTA Einstein and Eddington screening. But there is still a LOT to squee over. Hopefully. If the world doesn't end between now and Wednesday when I leave. :)

One of the reasons I adore the East Coast so much is that it's actually easier for me to get to London than it is for me to get to California. Not cheaper, mind you. But easier.

1. Hmm. You know, I'm not a big fan of Indian food. It never tastes like what I think it's going to taste like.

2. Ugh. That is MISERABLE about Bill's eardrum. And also TERRIFYING. I'm glad he turned out to be okay.(Actually, I think it's not just the Brits that make you re-do security. When I was flying through Paris to get to Edinburgh, they made me re-do security, and on my flight home the other day, they were warning people who were changing flights that they'd have to re-do security.)

I know, I know, it's a failing. New Orleans made me a far more adventurous eater, but I still have never had Indian food that I truly enjoyed. I'm very weird.

YAY! Trip details! (and boo for dizziness)

So much for the Logan renovations that are supposed to make everything clear and simple, right?

Glad you didn't have to wait a long time for customs. I'm crossing my fingers that your luck held on your way back from Heathrow as well.

Going to read the next part...

Yeah, Logan remains confusing. In the extreme. But I didn't have a bad time getting through customs on either end. It was honestly a dream trip. Almost nothing went wrong. Frightening, really.

You should auction your travel karma on eBay. You'd make a fortune.
