His normal gear had been abandoned in favor a looser fitting button down T-shirt as much from the necessity of not aggravating the wounds he had received as it was for the guilt he felt about using the weapons he normally carried against

[True enough. In addition to the damage from Tyr and the whip strike Rita had landed his arm was also pretty nicely torn by a certain assassin’s clawed weapon. Eagle just says this though. ]
