At the hospital

[Eagle stood in the hallway outside of Lantis’s hospital room waiting for him to wake up. His normal gear had been abandoned in favor a looser fitting button down T-shirt as much from the necessity of not aggravating the wounds he had received as it was for the guilt he felt about using the weapons he normally carried against people during the weekend. He really didn’t feel responsible or worthy enough to carry any of the weapons he typically was never without.
Eagle stared at the Network device in his hand trying to find the right words. He did have to say something to the people he hurt, but words would never be enough. When he finally did speak his voice was soft, lacking the confidence it normally had.]
I am sorry for all of the harm I did over the weekend…
[It wasn’t enough. He had killed people but he was sorry? ]
I will try to make up for it in any way I can. To everyone who tried to stop me, thank you. I was too cursed at the time to realize you were trying to help but now that I can understand I am glad so many people tried to intervene. You don’t have to worry. There aren’t any more explosive planted any where in the City.
