AWw well, I wasn't expecting to actually get in Spectrum, so I'm taking it well I think. Surprisingly, I wasn't disppointed, though it makes me wonder what it takes to get it. I'll work harder this year and keep drawing everyday until a figure it how to do better next time

But I'm aware my work is really far from the Spectrum level. It will probably take me 10 or more years before maybe being close... if that ever happens. *laughs*

Rejection is hard at first, but we get used to it. It probably doesn't affect me as much anymore. At work, I have to do sooooo many designs and drawings just to get them questioned, reworked and redone, that at one point you just try to make the best of it instead of taking it personnally.
And I have to remember that I am still very much a beginner in the art scene and fantasy art. I barely have a few years of experience. That's why I think it will take me 10 + years. I will not consider myself a profesionnal until I get to the 10 year mark anyway. =)

For my part, all of the published stuff I have is reallllllly not Spectrum material. *laughs* If I want to have something published, I will need to get myself a better book contract. *sighs* For that to happen, I would have to work home full time, not full time in a studio working for someone else. I'm still wondering if what I am doing right now is the right thing. The job is not exactly what I thought it would be...
I'm still stunned that you didn't get in. I was convinced you would!
