AWw well, I wasn't expecting to actually get in Spectrum, so I'm taking it well I think. Surprisingly, I wasn't disppointed, though it makes me wonder what it takes to get it. I'll work harder this year and keep drawing everyday until a figure it how to do better next time ( Read more... )

Oh, well I know it's really hard. I think the only reason why I did submit was because I felt like I had to start trying at some point.

But I'm aware my work is really far from the Spectrum level. It will probably take me 10 or more years before maybe being close... if that ever happens. *laughs*

It looks like a lot of our friends were rejected... I hate rejection, I'm doubly glad I didn't submit...LOL

Aww well yeah I think most of us got rejected.

Rejection is hard at first, but we get used to it. It probably doesn't affect me as much anymore. At work, I have to do sooooo many designs and drawings just to get them questioned, reworked and redone, that at one point you just try to make the best of it instead of taking it personnally.

And I have to remember that I am still very much a beginner in the art scene and fantasy art. I barely have a few years of experience. That's why I think it will take me 10 + years. I will not consider myself a profesionnal until I get to the 10 year mark anyway. =)

You're right. I take some rejection okay. I'm not so down about my Epi rejections anymore...LOL I'm working on getting that "thick skin".

I just know I'm not ready for Spectrum...or for Dragon*Con yet. But I'm not giving up. :P
