I done graduated! I have a bachelor's degree...sweet. The ceremony was actually a good one, I enjoyed the speaker, she was intelligent and had good things to say, and didn't talk too long. I got my graduation robes today. I love the irony. The school says, yay, we're so proud of you! You're educated and smart! Now, wear this ridiculous hat!

Today I finished my last class as an undergrad! Kinda funny -- it was at the same time, with the same professor, and on roughly the same subject as the first Fort Lewis class I ever had. My financial aid from Pacific came through. Loans, lots and lots of loans. Plenty to cover my first year, but...I have to pay them all back! Oh well. Better than paying 40 grand (that's right, 40 grand) a year out of pocket. They did give me work study. 1500 a year. A drop in the big, big bucket of debt. A quick note:

I hate money. I hate that I need it for a new computer, an apartment, getting myself to Portland, affording to live once I'm there, and to pay off my interviews. Most of all, I hate my expensive tuition. I keep hoping that a wealthy aunt in some European country that I've never heard of will leave me her fortune. So far, no word.

I replied back to the director of admissions at Pacific, telling her I would be coming, and I even managed to maintain a pretty calm-sounding demenor in the email. Now I just need to send $500 as a deposit by April 15th to secure my place in the fall class. Ew. Or at least I will because that's where I'm moving! I GOT IN! I got into Pacific, notified by email two days before they said to expect to hear anything. At the earliest. Holy shit, I'm moving to OREGON! I'm going to grad school! I keep reading the email over and over because I just can't believe what it says. I got in...I'm going to Portland!

I hate waiting I hate waiting I HATE waiting! I HATE WAITING! I know they know if they're letting me in or not, of course they know, and this waiting thing is putting me on edge and making me snappish and cranky and all around unpleasant!
