Getting through the storm with my mom was, um, well, "interesting."

Limited flooding is still flooding. )

Thanks for the shout out. I hope they reached their goal of 25 donors (12 had signed in when I had left in the morning.)

BTW, I checked the long range forecast. I'll take low 80s anytime over upper 60s and breezy anytime.

Our blood emergency here has continued to worsen and I'd bet things up north aren't all that much better. That makes it all the more wonderful that you gave when you did, bro.

As for the weather.... come on down! It's pretty damned nice these days. ^_^

You know I watched the weather channel for a while and noticed that they treated the whole thing as if your area had just had a heavy rain storm that helped to offset the rain deficit for the year. It's like unless there are houses under water it's no big deal or something. But hey when it brings a city to a virtual stand still it's a little more than a heavy rain.

A cliffhanger... man I don't have much by way of nails to bite but maybe that's a good thing if you are able to post. If not you know I will wait patiently and let the anticipation rise. ^______^

I know what you mean regarding the Weather Channel's idea of coverage. What made the difference with Gabrielle is that their personnel were stationed in the wrong places to cover it properly. If they'd been in Morehead City, I dare say it would have gotten very different treatment.

As for the fanfiction issue, well, I'm not sure that cliffhanger deserved any bitten nails. Um, at least, not on the part of someone as well informed as you are, darling Cat.

{blushes sleepily and adds}

But reading this just now made me feel all warm and tingly. The very idea that mere words from Melpomene could do that to anyone much less someone as well read as you are makes my muses and my unworthy self quite happy.

I just wanted to mention here that when I finished chapter 2... I was ready to beat myself over the head or jump up and down because I wanted the next chapter. You and your muses, I swear you know how to drive me crazy. But that is why I love your stuff so much. At this point I'm just waiting to see who gets there first... if you know what I mean. ;p

Guess who has not been paying attention to the weather yet again? I'm so glad you updated on this stuff. Hurricanes are like the last thing on my mind now x_X.

And don't worry about the fanfic. Take all the time you need with it.

Luckily the weather is quiet now, Carter. If it changes, you'll no doubt read about it here since we share so much of it.

{planning to not stress over fanfiction for awhile, the llama adds quietly}

I always think of you as I drive through Cary via I-40. Traffic is as crazy as always there, but it's nice to know an enlightened soul dwells nearby as I zip down the highway.

Yup, it's gotten quieter and it's starting to get colder too. I like it when it's not too hot like it's been in the past month (although wait until the snow and ice starts pouring in, ha ha).

I always think of you whenever I think of the Coast or Durham (even though I know you're no longer there). Whenever I hear news related to those places, it reminds me of you.

*hugs*
