Fanfiction + Heat? What a combo

Aug 08, 2007 20:17

I'm terribly pleased to note that the Realizations Arc is moving right along.

Yesterday, I added another 8,300+ words to "Karmic Backlash" which is turning into a monster! I was seriously considering slicing some of the earlier books of the arc into chapters, but hadn't made a decision yet. This one, however, will definitely need to be subdivided ( Read more... )

I love BOTH of those guys, too! In fact, I saw an icon that read "Team Fire Crotch" and almost fell out of my chair laughing and thinking of them.

As for the similarities and differences between those two, well, that's a topic for a separate post someday. Suffice it to say, they're both the types who can certainly get the old juices flowing. Too bad Yohji's a blond. He'd fit right in with those other players, no da!

{adds the grumpy Yohji icon since he's jealous of these other guys all of a sudden}

Goodness and I thought it was hot here at 88. Though I admit readily the dry heat is much easier to take than the humidity.

And darn I'll take the weather change migraines over ones caused by going out in the sun anyday. I've got the light sensitivity problem going on but usually it takes a long time in the sun before I develop a migraine from it. What are you taking for yours these days?

The new Schwarz centric fic sounds intriguing I am really looking forward to reading it! ^___^

Headaches, ugh. e_sama August 10 2007, 03:50:56 UTC
First off, you're right about dry heat versus wet heat. I love the desert southwest for the former and often hate my home here at the coast due to the later ( ... )

Yeah the barometric pressure is my killer too. Believe it or not I've found that when I have a migraine starting while I'm here in town (Denver), if we take a drive up to like Estes Park (several thousand feet higher) the migraine just melts away. Go figure. Good luck on a new med that can handle the pain for you. Imitrex is still my friend despite the fact that it makes me sleep like nobodies business.

You have no idea how much I'm anticipating your new stuff. Though we are lucky to be in a circle of awesome writers, I really missed your epics.

Now that you've redesigned the Schwarz compound, invite the "Trading Spaces" crew over for an "extreme makeover" of the Koneko. ^_^

Too bad that bringing in Ty and the crew would mean they'd demolish the flower shop to accomplish their makeover. I worked too hard writing out all the descriptions of the layout for it to get ruined now!

::snicker:: Have to say I love the 'Trading Spaces' idea, that would really be too much fun.

And more writing? Happy day! ::grin:: That's something to look forward to!

(Give me another few days for the Adult Children info...got a bit distracted this weekend and forgot to track it...oops.)

Take care!

Dearest Dee, take as much time as you like on that information. Heaven knows my mom won't suddenly get better and I won't need it, you know.

{hugs you tenderly and then adds with a laugh}

But I've got to admit that scripting luscious lemons and heart-breaking angst really takes my mind off all of that! Just today, I enjoyed several hours and over 5,000 words of alternate reality. It really improved my disposition.

Ach, migraine...::winces::

We've just finished a week or so of monsoon weather - two typhoons in succession, which flooded the city (not good) and raised the water levels in our hydroelectric power plant dams (pretty good). We now have a return of warm weather, but not the killing humidity of last month.

Poor husband, however, went out for his first walk in the sun in days, and promptly got himself a sharp headache for his efforts. ::cuddles hubby:: A few minutes in the shade and a cold towel later brought him to rights, though.

I hope you get some rain soon - and not the bad stormy kind, either.

Rain, rain, go away e_sama August 13 2007, 03:32:27 UTC
I often think of you oh so far away when I catch the global weather forecast. The flooding rains are both boon and curse in areas like yours, but I still worry.

{huggles both you and hubby hoping for better days for all of us}
