These are so lovely. I haven't gotten many fall flowers going at my place, but I keep trying. I think the ragweed edges them out.

I love seeing what you have growing out there. Your place is so beautiful.

These are gorgeous photos. I feel that if you took photos like these in high definition, a biology or nature journal may be very interested.

Not sure if you noticed, but there is a bee left of the snout butterfly.

Thanks. Yes, I noticed the other insect, but wasn't sure if it was a bee or something else--bees, wasps, flying ants and other things around.

The wing's very clear.

Nice collection of photos. Love the colors and the feel of a wild prairie the photos provide. That swallowtail of the 2 photos looks as though s/he has been through a wind storm or two and taken wing damage, but still well able to navigate.

I moved to Maryland over 19 years ago, and before that I lived in Houston for 15 years. Seeing your picture of the rain lily reminded me of how pretty they were when I lived on 5 acres between Bastrop and Elgin back in the late '70s. Hadn't thought about rain lilies in years. Thanks for the post.
