After the deluges, a day of brilliant sun, warmth, and a brisk SSW wind.  Perfect for drying handknit socks on the line after a week of rain outside and dank humidity inside.

Thanks. None of the purples happened to need washing, so...no purple to complete it. But there's purple on the Birthday Socks.

Thank you. They're mine, too--but they're also the newest, and it often happens that my latest pair is my favorite for awhile. They are LOUD socks. I like loud socks. (Except when I like quiet socks. Variety is the spice, etc.)

I love that particular red. However, I'm not seeing it listed on any of the online places I shop. (Online, because there is no convenient local yarn shop.)

Interesting article in the NY Times about a firm that donates a pair of socks for everyone sold. It appears that socks are the most requested item at shelters.
