The tractor engine appears to be working again, after R- cleared an airlock (after once more finding no water in the fuel line.)

That's when he noticed the flat tire.  It wasn't flat (not that flat anyway) yesterday.

It seems that your tractor has the same bug as my electric mobility scooter. That also works fine until it stalls, (over and over. That thing being pushed back to the flat is becoming one of the familiar sights of the Portobello Road market. Given an hour or two of rest it comes back to life. It's tempting to think that it malingers.) I hope your tractor is fixed now.
