Friends, when do you prefer shirts tucked? When do you prefer them untucked?

I ask because I've been catching myself more and more tucking my shirts in and... not hating it. And it's weird.

I just wanna clap my hands to this song for the rest of the workday:

i hate tucking in my shirts, to the point where i'll try to push it and get away with it at work, lol. for some reason, i've ALWAYS hated having my shirt tucked in and it's probably i went to private schools all my life until college and we were forced to tuck our shirts in.

I felt the same way forever. But lately, I've caught glimpses of myself with, say, a shirt untucked and hanging down below my sweater say, and I just really don't like how it looks.

You are officially becoming an old man. Do you tuck your polo shirts into your jean shorts? hahaha totally just kidding. Um well if it's for a special occasion a tucked shirt is appropriate. I also feel it depends on how a person dresses day to day.

I don't do t-shirts if they're my top/only layer. And even button-up shirts are only sometimes!

I don't have a hard and fast rule about it yet. I guess that's what I'm looking to find.

I only ever tuck my shirt in if it's required at work. I haaaaate it so much. So uncomfortable and then when it gets all untucked in the back and you look all sloppy, or when you tucked it in too much in a certain spot!! haha it's just all bad.

Because everyone else does? Because you were told to?

If I had a vest maybe I could pull it off but then I'd have to wear jeans instead of dress slacks.

I think you need a trim, TOIT little bod to pull off that look, Sam. (And that's not a shot at you since I couldn't do it either.)

I don't really like tucking in shirts at all. I guess for some special occasions I can see it and depending on where you work, but I'm just not a fan of tucking. My coworkers all tuck their shirts in, I just wear a jacket so I don't have to.

That's kinda my way too, but with sweaters.

Never. Last time I tucked anything in was when I worked at mcdonalds and it was mandatory.
