Much.

Today is apparently MuchMusic's 25th birthday. John Doyle notes that they are doing very little to mark the occasion, probably on account of they don't "want to look old, to mark milestones and remind today's viewers that the channel existed long before they were born ( Read more... )

She grew on me, but it took time. Probably just because of the way she was dropped into my favourite program!

Ed the Sock? You disliked Ed the Sock?

I think Much went downhill with his departure more than his arrival.

It wasn't so much the fact that he arrived, it's just that it was around then that I found myself watching the station a lot less. I also think they started overusing him - it was great when he was a few-times-a-year kinda thing. When he was popping up on every bloody show, he was spread too thin.

I miss MuchMusic so, so much. What do I miss most about it? The MUSIC.

They no longer show music videos or countdowns or any of that stuff. You know what they show now? Two things:

1. Reality shows
2. Movies

That's ALL. I don't know why they even call it MuchMusic anymore, BECAUSE THERE'S NO ACTUAL MUSIC ON IT.

Musique Plus was always a million times better than MuchMusic, but they've gone the way of the dinosaur as well, sadly. :(

I used to love watching the countdown every week, and I would get so angry that they wouldn't show all 30 videos.

I used to tape the Intimate and Interactive specials with my favourite bands. I used to watch them over and over when I would get home from school, usually while I was stoned out of my tree.

Man, I haven't watched that station in about 9-10 years. :( I feel so old.

One of my guilty pleasures of the MuchMusic heyday was was their gameshow, Test Pattern. How can you not love a show where the final round has you put on a helmet and spins you on a large wheel of fortune only to be awarded a brand new two-slice toaster???
