I get all the different CBC affiliates, so I get both games and this doesn't really affect me. But that the CBC can show Toronto/Ottawa as the national game tonight, and limit Montreal/San Jose to just the Montreal, BC and Alberta affiliates is practically criminal. And of course I say this as an Ottawa fan

You're right. The Habs game is going to BC and Alberta, too - it was the ExpressVu preview thinger that was tipping me off wrong.

But still, would the people in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the East Coast really rather get the Ontario game?

Don't blame Ottawa. There was many a-night when I was with Videotron in Montreal when I was unable to watch the Sens game, even though CBC was showing it in Eastern Ontario. Instead I'd get Toronto/Buffalo or somesuch.

Sens fans outside Ottawa get the shaft from HNIC just as much as Habs fans outside Montreal do.

See, this doesn't bother me as much because there's no other team in Canada that has the luxury (as Habs fans do) of having every single game on one channel. In fact - and I could be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure - the Habs and Leafs are the only teams whose fans can count on every single game being televised. There are some Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and (I think) Vancouver games that aren't televised at all locally in those markets.

So for Habs fans to cry that 'boo hoo we can't watch our team in both languages!!!' when other fans sometimes can't see their team in one language has always struck me as a bit whiny.

You mean for the RICH fans to be able to watch their every game? Because let me assure you that I am unable to watch every Habs game even if I wanted to.
