Steve had the TV on TVA last night, and I couldn't believe how the guy was just gloating over the fact that "another station" called Charest defeated too early and they screwed up. Like... comments every 2 sentences for at least 30 mins. Dude, get over it, we don't care!

Yeah, it's kind of a nit-picky insider thing. And it looks really amateurish to point at your competitor's mistakes, imho. But, at the same time, RadCan really shouldn't have called it as early as they did.

I definitaly aggree with you there! Although their title about the news was kind of funny to me("Le parti Libéral réélu mais décapité" I think.)

In any case, part of the votes the ADQ got was also from people who used to vote PQ, but who wouldn't now for various reasons (*cough* homophobes *cough*) and who would never vote for the liberals by principle.

That's probably a good point. Do you think there's a lot of homophobia outside the cities?

Those are some interesting numbers and statements re: ridings. I hadn't realised that was the case. Perhaps the lines will be re-drawn someday.. you know.. for the children.

It would be nice.

The same things happens to a lesser degree on the federal side, too. Like: PEI/4 < Toronto Centre.

Political talk radio guys say so many outrageous things that most of them get tuned out. When someone's playing for attention, there's something very satisfying in letting them rant in a vacuum.

Yeah, you're probably right. But it's still kind of galling that those idiots say such things on the public airwaves. I know, I'm a bit of an idealist like that...

I suspect that what happened to Bosclair is that for the first time in 40 years, Quebecers had a credible non-separatist alternative to the Liberals.

Re: Limbaugh
He is completely irrelevant to me, because I typically disagree with everything he says anyways LOL

Oh, I never agree with him either! I'm just surprised that sometimes he doesn't get a little more attention from the mainstream media, because he (and most right-wing talk radio hosts) says some awful things...

I guess I think of Limbaugh as being very....Last Millennium. I guess he has some influence on some very rabid conservatives, but his overall national profile is kinda low.
