Of course I would be going home with more things than I came with. Since I'm still limited in bags I can bring on the plane, I decided to send a box home. (De)Tour to Norway XI: "Old Friends" in Oslo
One more stop on the (De)Tour: April and I flew back to Oslo to catch Simon & Garfunkel in concert, doing their "Old Friends" tour. We also planned to meet up again with Mahmood, a collaborator of April's who she worked with for a week earlier in the month (one of the purposes of her trip to Europe).

On our second day, we were faced with a choice: do a day hike, or check out the Lofotr Viking Museum, about a 40-minute drive northeast along the island-peninsula chain. After the excessive traveling we had all been through to get to Å, all we wanted to do the first day was sleep in and chill around this very quiet town. Besides, it did rain a bit, so hiking didn't seem like such a good idea. After the rain stopped, however, we did take a drive around the nearby villages.
