In thinking about my first time and how truly shitacular it was I decided to make this poll.

Poll Now and Then

Fair warning, I'm prying in folks' business today. Leaving a reply leaves you open to me asking personal and possibly inappropriate questions (possibly screened). =D

Mine would have been perfect if I wasn't scared stiff, too many yrs of being scared I'd become a pregnant statistic. It took him 5 nights in a row to relax me enough to end my virginity (!), but it was worth it (we got married and we're still married 15 yrs later).

number 2 should have been checkboxes b/c i wanted to choose more than one of those. I should have waited longer for a different partner. I chose an old boyfriend i was comfy with. I also had a pencil penis so the pain wasn't bad but position-wise, it was standard. everything just should have been done differently.

Yeah, I know. But I think I made check boxes once in a poll and both Laney and Mikey chose EVERY option just to get on my nerves. Since then I refuse to make check boxes. lol But yeah mine is multiples as well. I should've waited... for a different person... with more lube... or foreplay.

But I can wrap that up for myself and just say I needed better sex ed 'cause at the basis of all that is that I didn't know shit about shit. If I knew then what I know now, the rest would've fallen into place.

I can't fill out this poll. Is that a good or bad?

I'd say it's pretty good. lol

I see you evolving a lot and I watch your perspectives change. Like I never would've guessed you'd even be open to sex outside of the context of a relationship (or maybe I misunderstood a poll response you gave before). What's your thoughts on sex now?

Very open-ended, slightly vague and extremely personal questions for $400, Alex.

I'd say that's accurate, that I previously wouldn't have been interested in sex outside of a relationship. Over the past few years though I've come across a lot of people, and of course a lot of varying perspectives and experiences, and me being the listener I am I've been exposed to a lot of advice, whether or not the person speaking knew I was taking it as advice. At this point I view sex the same way I view any other aspect of humanity. We need it, it's a part of our biological make-up, but we don't need to dress it up. Romanticizing our physical need for it doesn't do us any favors, I think. What that eventually does is just leave the majority of people unsatisfied, looking (and believing they have a need) for something that may or may not satisfy them; and also lends itself to people remaining unfortunately ignorant of things that will satisfy them.

Interesting. So how does this perspective shape your view of how sex will affect you? Like I also saw you making statements that seemed to lean towards polyamory. Do you feel you're open to polygamy?

Tell me to shut up (or screen) at any moment. lol
