How is it that someone can capture your feelings and just hijack them? I'm not sure if I'm lonely or just craving (nor am I really sure what the difference is). I'm sure it'll leave...eventually ( Read more... )

It's on TV Land (channel 85 for me). I WISH I had that channel that shows 227 and Amen. I miss those. Good Times will be coming on every night at 10 on TV Land after the marathon this week, which makes me very happy. I've been "leaving" for the seafood for about 2 1/2 hours now because Good Times has a hold one me. lol

Did you know that Jay Leno and David Letterman were both writer's on Good Times?

Also, did you know that Ja'net Dubois is only 2 years older than Jimmie Walker?

And, did you know that Esther Rolle was nearly 20 years older than John Amos? and only 8 years older than Jimmie Walker?

lol No, I did not know any of that. Thank you, quizmaster. lol But wait JJ was older than his father??? That's so weird. Jimmie really looks younger then John too. Knowing that white people were writing may explain some of the extra silliness. Funny how I watched the credits and didn't see any writers' names. Like they really wanted to hide that white folks were writing.

I misworded that. Esther is 20 years older than John, and John is 6 years older than Jimmie.

I was a huge fan of Good Times growing up (still am). I think Im most like Wilona.

OMG I just tuned in...it's the episode when James died. WOw..I think that's something I needed to see.

I always talk about being poor. Its easy.. "Today, my broke ass went to the store...but I could hardly buy anything since im so freaking broke. Well, I think im gonna go home where I'll watch some tv and ponder why Im so broke."

See, I talk about being poor too. but not as much as they do. That was ALL they spoke about! And definitely when I was younger we didn't talk about being poor like that. We just were.
