Hmm... I think one of my biggest pet peeves is being misunderstood. I mean, totally misunderstood. Like when people miss the entire essence of me and what I'm trying to say and/or who I am. Like I still sometimes feel compelled to to correct people about things they misunderstood me to say from months ago. But how crazy would it be to say "remember ( Read more... )

Oh yeah! Before I forget (hush), I kinda feel like this...

"Or maybe I'll just call you a stupid dick and be done with it. And you won't be offended 'cause "it's just words!"

..was subconsciously inspired by you. 'Cause when I read it it reminds me of what you've been saying about opinions. Don't say the shit means nothing then turn and get mad when I challenge it.

And take pics!! =p

About "World" Champions... I couldn't agree more, although it could be due to America's laziness more than anything. I mean, who wants to say "Florida Marlins: Champions of the Top Two-Thirds of North America." Not that is excuses our selfishness, but calling the US arrogant is like calling the sky blue.

But I can understand the NFL calling the Patriots "World Champions." Who gives a shit about football but us?

About People... how can a majority of their beautiful people be white when whites only make up a small sliver of the world population? Smells like bullshit to me...

About Soul Plane... It sure seems like we need literal blackface, doesn't it? But call it this generation's inability to respect what went on before it (read: blaxploitation). I mean, yea, I like Friday, but it also had messages about gun violence and touched on social issues.

Besides, Mo'nique is in Soul Plane, and name one thing she was ever in that wasn't complete bullshit?

Didn't she though? Too bad she couldn't learn from Rosie Perez's mistakes and avoid letting herself get typecast into a walking charicature(sp?).

you could make an argument that winning the NBA championship would be equivalent to being world champions. Simply because the NBA is now a compilation of the best basketball players in the world. You play basketball anywhere you are going to want to play in the NBA. NBA players are the best in the world and some of its best players aren't american.

Same can be said for baseball

"you could make an argument that winning the NBA championship would be equivalent to being world champions. Simply because the NBA is now a compilation of the best basketball players in the world."Well on the most surface level, that's debatable. Period. And I really have seen guys in the Rucker and the park in the village that would at least give any NBA team a run for their money. At least. So if they exist just less than 10 blocks from me and aren't in the NBA, who's to say some cats in Liberia are the shit and just haven't even tried out to get in the draft ( ... )

People don't understand that playground basketball is not the same as the professional level. The NBA is a business. And these guys would do anything to make money. If it means recruiting people from the streets they'll do it. I'm not gonna lie there is alot of undiscovered talent but ( ... )

the idea that we are the best in the world. Which may be true which may not be true. And that's what draws them to the "land of opportunity"

Anyway all that being said....I agree with you...but at the same time I don't. I don't see anything wrong with feeling you're the best in the world at something until it is proven otherwise.

that is arrogant. especially for baseball. it's still wrong for basketball but last time i checked w/basketball, the u.s. was the best in the world...(the world of professional basketball, at least).

THANK YOU, EBONY. The people who are the quickest to say "it's just words" when they're on the giving end of a verbal beatdown tend also to be the first ones to get offended when they're on the receiving end.

For all they know the most beautiful person is in Iraq. She's gorgeous, but you don't know because she has to wear a veil when she leaves the house.

I'd buy it. I've always had a thing for Middle Eastern women anyway. ;-)

A while ago Dani said something to the effect of "I wish men knew that if they listened to us, we'd tell them everything we need."

SHE'S NEVER TOLD ME, DANGIT! lol

I'm not even gonna get started on Soul Plane. All I know is that I damn near wanted to disown my adopted brother after he tried to force me to watch a bootleg copy he had of it.

lol How old is he? I'm assuming he's young. He can grow out of it. Hell if he's older he still grow out of it, if he's open to it.
