Nah, it's past that 'cause if the school can even afford a new stadium, the educational aspects have already been taken care of. I do agree that people foolishly put more emphasis on sports than they do on education in general, but there are already certain schools with setbacks. And those are rarely the ones with stadiums at all.

Nah, I was talking about pro sports, not school sports.

Everytime there's a referendum for schools, people are "no, we're tax to much all ready!" But when a hundred million dollar/billion dallar football team wants to come to town and wants the public to put up 50 million dollars for their stadium, the same people are all, "YES, we've gotta have football". That's exactly what happen in Nashville when the Titans came, and that's what happens all over the country again, and again, and again. People care more about Lebrone James than they do about their own kids.
