Awww... You are getting her voice back :) I love the "Optimus would not..." paragraph, there is a clear difference between them and it is good to have it pointed out!
I'm trying but it's not very easy at all. She's very ... hmm. It's hard to write her because she's the true archetype of the tragic heroine in some ways, and in others she defies the stereotype. On one hand, we're talking about the lady who was once the equivalent of the queen who leaves behind her life as a reigning figure to become a soldier in an extremely hopeless guerilla war. She gives up her possessions, her safety, her honour, all for Cybertron. Not for individual people, but for some abstract concept of a country. On the other hand, Elita recognizes morals, but she doesn't stick to them at the cost of her people, because she will do anything for her little group of femmes. She's lie, she'll steal, she'll torture, as long as it means that they can get one more toe-hold into the fortress of the Decepticon empire.
She's really quite a mess of layers and history and ... well, it makes for a difficult time wrestling with her. =/
I said: It's really very bizzare how different and similar she is from Chromia. Elita's the one who fights for her country and who can't truly bring herself to kill without having nightmares after. Chromia, on the other hand, is a brawler who is perfectly happy to smash and rip and tear, but she will not do it for such airy things as honour or glory. She only does it to protect her people (and Cybertron can go hang, because in her mind, Cybertron is made of bots not buildings).
