Looking at the directions Maes gave him earlier in the day, Lavi walks towards the building of the 'meeting'. Concerned for the safety of others and himself, attending this meeting would be a step in the right direction.
Upon arriving infront of the abandoned building, the red-head looked around, hoping he wasn't being followed by suspicious figures. Noticing that he was indeed alone, he knocked upon the doors, waiting for someone to greet him in.
Being in on the planning committee of two, Zack had arrived a little early. He headed over at hearing the first knock on the doors, opening one and peering out conspiratorially. He couldn't quite put a name to the face, but he knew he'd seen the guy around, and made an educated guess. "Lavi?"
Anko said she was going along because she was concerned for her property, implying quite clearly that she had no interest whatsoever in their 'conspiracy theories'. Mostly, this was true.
So she took a place away from everyone, scaling the bare walls easily to sit above the group in the rafters, legs hanging down, back against a vertical beam, eyes sharp. As if to reinforce her point, she growled down at the growing number of people every so often, reminding them that they'd be signing away what little freedom they had left if they fucked anything up.
Roy had arrived as early as he could, as a friend of Maes', and keen on the subject at discussion. He spent a little time surveying the situation, but was more than a little intrigued about the figure up in the rafters - the one who'd been yelling at him just the other day. She looked cross still, and vaguely he wondered if that was just the way she looked generally. For a moment he grinned, and looked away, he was stupid - if she had a mouth on her and caught him looking.
Coolly, he moved to lean against the wall behind him, arms folded as he stared ahead, watching a few more people come into the room, wondering how many of them actually thought this was just about drinking. The expression didn't change when he heard the familiar voice, although it was much quieter than he remembered.
"A man can't find amusement in the simpler things in life?" He asked, still smirking.
In hindsight, Akihiko figures that maybe this wasn't such a hot idea. He barely knows Zack and of course he doesn't know anyone else; he'd only arrived in Veles less than a week ago! And if it's illegal...
He's careful not to be seen when he approaches the location Zack had described, and by the time he reaches the door, he knows something's up. He doesn't bother knocking, cautiously slipping inside.
There's a ramshackle bar, so that's where he goes. "So what's this really about?"
"Hey, you came~!" Zack exclaimed cheerfully, as though heralding the arrival of a close friend rather than someone he'd barely met. Motioning for the boy to grab himself a drink, he went on to explain, "Naturally we're here for solidarity purposes. Gotta figure out how to protect ourselves since our local soldier population is tasked with more or less the opposite."
Akihiko glances dubiously at the bottles and shot glasses and figures he'd better wait until he's gotten the whole story. "Are they attacking people? Or is it something else?"
Either way, Akihiko immediately knows that he needs to be on guard.
Having gotten the directions, she took her time to get to the place. Yukino wasn't really sure why she was going. To get out of the apartment was the most likely answer. Zack had invited her and he was one of the only people she really talked to now. She was wondering when she had started to close herself off from people when she reached the door and slowly pulled it open to peek inside.
"I hear you. This is more for comradeship than anything else, anyway. Wine? I found some cheap stuff..." He started to rumage around behind the bar, looking for a glass that wasn't cracked.
For the fifth time, or something along those lines, Leroy wondered what he was doing here, why he had agreed to this, and why he hadn't left yet. He had some bad experiences with parties, after all, and this was just plain weird. Deciding to stand in a corner and sulk, the young boy couldn't help but eye the bar right opposite of him. A drink probably wouldn't be too bad.
Maes spotted Leroy glaring at the bar as if it had wronged him in some fashion. "Hey, I'm glad you made it!" He walked in from the front door after speaking with Kenshin, wearing a smile that hid his concern over Allen and anyone else who was different.
"Wasn't sure if I was gonna show," the young teenager muttered, making sure to keep his back against the wall as the man approached him. "It's nice... You know. The candles."
"Candles?" He looks around and then grins. "Yeah, well... there's no electricity here, and I didn't want us all talking to each other in the dark." Maes gave him a slightly sheepish grin and scratched the back of his head. "Had some extra lying around since Christmas, so... Figured they'd be put to good use here."

"Hey! I'm not late, am I?"
Looking at the man behind the door, he noticed that it was one with them and not a government official, luckily.

"Tch..." Like a predator she gaged him from above, sizing him up. "What's so fuckin' amusing, there, sweetheart?
