fashion questions

I need a short-sleeved cardigan to wear with a dress I just bought. The dress is black with white flowers and stuff embroidered on the skirt. Thus I turn to you, Fashionable Ones, with two questions:

1) Where the fuck can I get a short-sleeved cardigan? And not pay like $100 for it? It doesn't have to be cashmere, guys. In fact, even tho I love ( Read more... )

IMO go with something darker (black, I guess?) -- I've found that wearing a contrasting color cardigan makes my boobs look scaryhuge and ends up making me feel totally fat in pics.

You might look for a short sleeve "twin set" (I think Old Navy has them) and just use the cardigan that goes with.

Hmmm. Good point about the fatness. I don't have much boobage to worry about.

I think I do need to hit up the Old Navy/Target in the next few days, and if not then hit the dreaded mall.

If you don't have to worry about huge boobage, then maybe white would be ok! I think it would look nice and springy. I just wouldn't do it myself... due to said huge boobage.

Yeah, but I hadn't thought of white = MAKING ME LOOK MORE ENORMOUS THAN I ALREADY AM. I'm gonna have to try stuff on now.

My mom got something like that at Macy's, I think. I'm sure this is nerdy, but the Chadwick's catalog has all kinds of sweaters, sweater sets, etc.

I got a really cute short-sleeved white cotton cardigan with big buttons at Target a month or so ago. I would do the color with jewelry/purse/shoes.

I just got this one from J Crew in black. It's not the cheapest ever, but it's machine washable, super comfortable, goes with everything, and I love it.

I've thrown it on over a tank top after a workout to create a cute, if a little sweaty, outfit for dinner/drinks. Highly recommended.

OMG I WANT THAT IN EVERY COLOR.

So do you think I should go with white (cons: fatness, isn't only the bride supposed to wear white? It won't be an all-white outfit but still) or black (too funeral-esque?) or the kelley green/violet (the two colors I think it looks best in)?

I vote violet. I know I am the dissenting opinion on this post, but I want you to wear a color cardigan!
