Just out of curiosity, how do you answer your phone when someone calls asking for you

I have terrible phone etiquette, so if a stranger calls asking for me, I usually just go 'yah.' or if I'm in a good mood, a sarcastic 'yes?' because I give my number only to a handful people and expect to know its obviously me who's going to pick up the phone

I'm also with the "yah"/"yes?". or, "yes, speaking".

at home i go "yup" at work i go "yes how may i help you"

depends, usuall "janey speaking" if caller id doesn't show who's calling. mostly it will be "yah, simi daichi" or some inane reply....
