I think I want to make it my personal canon now that a duplicate version of the Jack from their universe is waiting in Pete’s World for the part-human Doctor and Rose. That’s how much I love this idea. And this story, for that matter. I adore it. The way Rose and Jack have to suffer through a lot of awkwardness and uncertainty before they finally manage to become just a couple, rather than two people missing the third part that would make them fit together, just makes this fic for me. Even as much as I like Rose and Jack as a couple, though, the implication that all three of them will finally get to be together again makes me squee with happiness. Thanks for a brilliant read.

I adore this too, and I now want a whole series in this universe :)

The humour in this story is just one of the many wonderful things about it. But most of all I love Jack fighting for Rose, while at the same time never realising that she's already his. Beautiful story!

Oh my gosh, thank you SO much for this! This is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad that this is what came out of my mess of prompts.

I'm with everyone else on wanting this to become a series, that would be wonderful if you ever feel up to it (hint hint, wink wink, nudge, nudge). Rose and Jack are wonderful together, and I'm so glad that they found each other... even with all the angst that came with meeting again.

Thanks so much again~ you totally made my day! <3

Thank you! I am so glad you liked it - especially as I sort of took your prompts and ran in a different direction. (I think I managed to work two or three completely different prompts together, actually.)

There are half a dozen outtakes from this story, some of which are definitely primed to be stories in and of themselves. wendymr, who did my beta, is already on my case about them, so yes, you'll get your sequel. (Ask for one fic, get a series. It's the Christmas gift that keeps on giving!) No promises on when, though.

I'm glad it made your day - reading your review made mine! :)

Fantastic. The timey-wimeyness is brilliant and makes total sense to me. Even though it's Rose/Jack, the Doctor's presence is felt by its absence, the negative space cast across the story. This would make an amazing start to a series, and wow so making this headcanon now.

Thank you! The more I write timey-whimey, the more I love it. And I never would have thought to write something Rose/Jack, without the Doctor, but once I thought of this, I couldn't not write. (That seems to be a theme to this exchange, really.)

the Doctor's presence is felt by its absence, the negative space cast across the story.

Oooo, exactly. That'd be a good title for another story on this theme, "Negative Space". If I could come up with a story to fit. I do have other ideas for stories in this world, so there will probably be something, but no promises on when.

Thanks again!
