Okay, The Long Game is a bit of a comedown from Dalek. They can't all be fantastic, though, and I kind of like this ep, really...
Um, I'm quite mean to Adam in this, but that's just because he unfailingly chooses the wrong path at every turn, so really, it's that or ignore him. I don't hate that he's in the show, though.
So, spoilers up to Last

The "end up kissing complete strangers" line gets me every time...
"Trouble?" "Oh yeah!" They just love it...
"Is a slave a slave if he doesn't know he's enslaved?" "Yes."
All too true...
This episode is like a mirror for modern society. So many people stop thinking about what is right or wrong - they simply don't question things and "The Long Game" shows where that can end. Even the Doctor shows us how much power is behind this: He lets Suki and Cathica assume - and they tell him everything he wants to know. And that is exactly what I like about this episode - that it gets me thinking and reminds me to question things...

They do! That's probably why I love Rose so much, she was born to travel with the Doctor!
And come to think of it, a slave who doesn't know he's enslaved is even more enslaved, would you say so ( ... )

You should definitely keep the Master/Verity Newman/Spaced crossover plot bunny ;-) From what wikipedia tells me that would be hilarious! Especially if you throw in a few Daleks.

Never thought of that before - but yes, you're right. If you are aware of your situation you can do something about it (try at least), but why would you want to change something if you don't know about it?

Like I need another plotbunny, they're piling up like tribbles as it is. XD I know it's not gonna stop bugging me now till I try to write it, though.
