1. This felt like an episode of X-Files to me. I don't know if that's bad or good, exactly, but made it slightly easier to accept the "people get their faces sucked off because REASONS and (stranger still) they get their faces back just because the bad guy is gone" plot line. Still, as a Rose-gets-hurt-Doctor-seeks-revenge plot...well, let's just say it had its shippy goodness

Oh, no, I'm totally sure that it was purely through the magic of TV. It's just...in the actual story, it holds up quite well. I guess we just have to picture him whipping out a comb and giving it a once-over every time he got off the bike.
In "Smith & Jones" he ruffles up his hair and fucks it up good in that computer scene, but when he reunites with Martha in the next scene it's back to being perfectly gelled again.
Which does imply that Ten spent some precious world-saving time fixing his hair before finding Martha. LOLOLOL.
I know this is one of the most criticized episodes of S2, but my viewing style is to just savor the parts I enjoy, like the character interactions, the jokes and amusing bits, and the touching moments. A story can have plot holes you could drive a bus through, and I won't give a crap as long as there are things in it that I find fun to watch

1. The plot was confusing and a little silly, but damn it if those faceless people aren't terrifyingly creepy. I recognize it's not even done well but I STILL hated looking at them.
2. I loved Ten's hair in this. I love how he was getting into the spirit of things along with Rose. This whole episode kind of read as "date" to me, because you know if they went on a date it would end up with malevolent hungry aliens that the Doctor can vanquish with their own technology and Rose would find out what was going on first but get in trouble for it. This question got away from me...
Did anyone else freak out because of the weird angles in the house during this episode? So strange. Why did the house look crooked?? Did I miss something?

Ten and Rose look like they got lost on their way to an audition for Grease. :-) But I enjoy the novelty of it.
