For my birthday this year I am hoping/planning to attend Chicago Tardis with my favorite Whovians (aka my husband and kids). I am making a Ten suit for my husband and already have the fabric needed and sources for details. Since my own appearance doesn't really match any of the companions I am just going to go with fun and pretty costumes for ( Read more... )

I've always wanted to see a family cosplay the happy family from the future vision in Family of Blood. Just thought I'd throw that out there. XD /unhelpful

No ideas on the costumes - but I ADORE the idea of a corset made from Ten's suit material. Not sacrilege at all.

britgeekgirl made one as part of her femme!10 costume, and it looked great.

Children as Daleks always make my day.. XD

It would also be cute to do a mini 10th Doctor and Rose/Donna. Or Mini 11th and Amy. :D (which would be true of all the older Doctors/companions as well..)

Last year there weren't too many kid cosplayers but there was one group that ruled. The dad cosplayed 4th Doctor, and his kids were dressed up as the Master, and Adric. They were the most adorable things ever. Kids in any sort of cosplay are win however. Those are just a few ideas.

Make the corset! That's a fantastic idea! So is the tiny Ten suit though...but I understand the dilemma. Hrm....

Well if you're going to work on Ten and an Girl in the Fireplace gown...I'm thinking the kids could be clockwork droids? :3 THAT would be the best. Both of you looking shocked and surrounded by the kids as the bad guys!! Heehee!

Ahh reinette. just got back from gallifrey last night where i debuted my blue-gold gown (the first one). i got the fabric from joanns in the home decor section - its a light blue and a sandy gold color. and just fyi, louise page (the costume designer) was talking to me and complimented me on my fabric choice for the dress, so i guess that is as close to an endorsement for that fabric as we'll get!!

if you do find a fabric for her beaded gold dress, let me know. i REALLY want something that's pre-beaded as well. :D

and no, it's not sacrilege to do a corset. i want to do that myself!!
