Seven progress

My boots arrived!

I fist saw these boots over a year ago, and they were already out of stock everywhere then.  But I just knew they would make the perfect shoes for Femme Seven. Last week I found a pair for sale in my size! (let's not discuss what I paid for them)  So now I need to share, because that is one of the best parts of this hobby.

Thanks! I am hoping to have a preliminary version ready for Hurricane Who, and polish it up a bit before Gally.

I thought so!

I plan on wearing these a bunch for work. I may need to go buy a new suit, just to have more things to wear them with.

But I never would have even thought of looking for them without cosplay.

You = awesome. That outfit ROCKS.

Where did you find those boots and where can I get a pair? (Also have a femme Seven costume, steampunk, hence those boots would be like, double awesome)

These are the boots.

But unless you have very small or very large feet, I think you are out of luck. (on the up side, if you do they seem to have dropped the price a bunch after I bought the only pair in an average size) I have looked for these haphazardly for a while now with no luck.

Ah, I have a feeling my feet would be extremely unhappy in size 6.5 :( I am generally a 7.5 but even if boots run small, a small for me would be a 7, likely. And that's too much dinero to just guess. I could take more careful measurements.

Did you find a pair online or did you come across them in real life somewhere?

No, I looked all over on line, but I finally found one at Amazon. They did not have one previously, but someone must have returned the pair I bought. If you did want to try the small one,I believe Amazon is offering no cost returns.

I would have no idea how (and no time to) shop for shoes by going to stores, but these seem to be in European sizes, so I don't know if I would find them here in the States anyway.

Awesome boots! :) The whole outfit looks great! Honorarydoctor's 7 breakdown, if you have not already consulted it, might be of some help w/ hats and other items:

Yep. Honorarydoctor is the best! The sweater is (of course) from his group run, and I have been using his reference pictures when working on the jacket. I just haven't got to really looking for hats and scarves yet, and I just missed out on the current umbrella run.

Well, hopefully you can luck into another brolly run later. Good luck with the whole outfit!

Btw, since you are going to HurricaneWho, can we hope to see you at TimeGate? One of my costume track panels will be on femme costuming. The hotel room block just opened today. :)

The more I hear about Timegate, the more awesome it sounds, and the sadder I get that I probably won't ever be able to attend.

Unfortunately it falls on a weekend were there are 5 other things going on that I like to attend, and 4 of those are ones my husband likes too (he doesn't do Who stuff). So I feel that he has a good claim to my company for the weekend. Also, the one time I looked the airfare was nearly as much as my flight to Gally.

I am only able to make Hurricane Who due to some serious enabling by a friend, and the fact that my father lives in FL, helping me justify flight costs as a "family visit". I have told my husband that if he ever finds himself out of town on those dates I don't plan on sticking around, but that would be a last-minute thing.

I really looks like a seriously good time, I am sad each year when I miss it.

Funny. When I first put them on I thought "Great, these have a nice low heal, I should be able to wear them for quite a while on a convention floor"

(I have a lot of heals)
