Possibly. I can only speak to what I saw. Either they had a regular cravat for publicity pics only (as well as a switch for shirt button colors I see) or this cravat was converted into a pre-tied attach-in-the-back later. Or as you say, there were two cravats (and likely an entire duplicate costume). Either way it was fascinating to see in person.
Anything's possible but everything did appear to come from the original designer from whom the costume was purchased. The Cravat does appear to match what I see in the interior TARDIS publicity shots. There was only one shirt stud remaining but both cufflinks. It's equally likely there was filming versions and publicity versions for both. COnsidering the nuance sof film production there's room for both versions to have served thier purpose.
Glad to help- it was very interesting to see the color read in person. You'd simply never guess the right shade of green going off the pics and screengrabs alone.
Totally makes me wish I hadn't been busy being a heatstroked and bewildered adipose who spent most of the day sitting. Suffice it to say I spent a lot of time quietly in awe of how awesome all you guys are!
ALSO I AM MADLY IN AWE OF YOUR TOTALLY BADASS VINTAGE PINS I ended up spending like $60 on mediocre sushi Friday night and consequently felt a touch too poor to invest in anything but a small print and a badass UNIT badge.
So, umm, *flails at everything and everyone because I love you guys*
Thanks, glad you dig the costumes! I used to LOVE and collect the crap out of those pins back in the late 80's/early 90s. Sorry about the expensive Sushi. Always good to plan for the cheaper eats at Gally or bring your own food.
I used to be pretty pin-crazy back in the day too, until I started wearing/losing the coolest ones way too often, ha!
Oh yes, ample room snacks are a must. (so grateful that we found a supermarket that stocked Yakult on Thursday night!) I had just really wanted to take my gf on a late Valentine's Day dinner, bluuuuuuush.
