I wonder if the Doctor gets paid in that role? Or if it's just one of those bureaucratic buckets where boxes have to be ticked even if your consultant is pro bono? I feel for the Brigadier. 🦊🧡

So do I. No clue if the Doctor really should be on the payroll, or whether he did get paid, but the Brig would want to do everything the right way, if only so all the paperwork was correct and the Doctor's role as scientific advisor was official enough to avoid his involvement in UNIT business being questioned.
