Brigadier Sir Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart rubbed at his temples and sighed. He was getting a headache, and he couldn’t say he was surprised. The paperwork that came with his job was annoying enough on an average day, but figuring out UNIT’s annual budget would be enough to make a lesser man want to hide under his bed in the hope that it would just go away.
UNIT was supposed to protect earth from extra-terrestrial threats, which required a great deal of equipment and personnel. Now, on top of everything else, he needed to add a special alien consultant to the payroll…
