Yay, an update! And last chapter, too! I’m reading this as soon as I see it. :)

Lovely, how Miranda now has learned to appreciate mornings. Maybe I’ll get there one day, too. ;) And the rest of the opening scene is so deliciously hot/sweet!

For a few seconds the idea that Miranda’s daughter would refer to Andy’s parents as grand-parents eased most of the worries from the brunette’s mind. Yes, that’s sweet! :D Oh, poor Andy, how nervous she is!.... But I like Miranda’s words to calm her down!

“Oh. By the way, how did things go with Rumpelstiltskin?” *LOL*

… And WOW, I love the singing part! So passionate, so intense.

I love that they kissed like that in front of everyone. :)
the happy feeling a simple praise from the older woman could have on the singers. They beamed like young children who had accomplished an impossible task and pleasantly surprised their parents. *smiles* Yes, exactly like that!

my resignation …!!! Ooops, wow, I didn’t see that one coming! Hmm… Oh, poor choir… Yes, Andy still has her, but even so…*quickly ( ... )

Awwwwwwww...

*has a happy grin from ear to ear like Andy*

It totally thrills me that you are happy with the final product of your prompt! :D Thanks so much for the brilliant idea that started all of this off!

As soon as I had seen the prompt I was sold... as you may have noticed... xD

=D Ha! You didn't see Miranda's resignation coming? Woah! xD And I was worried I was giving it away, because I had it build up from the very beginning: Miranda's friend at the conservatory, Andy's article on 'Opus 118 Harlem School of Music' - it's from Meryl's movie "Music of the Heart" - and her involvement in trying to fight the receding government funding of these programs, Miranda buying a piano for at home and "... knowing about the human voice and stuff..." (to quote Andy), and then in this chapter how she's wondering about the future... ^_^ Maybe I should have dropped more hints, but I guess a shocker like that is also great!! :D ( ... )

It wasn't brilliant, it was heartache, but anyway I'm so glad it worked for you (and such great work this is!) and I have enjoyed every bit of the process. Even the most bittersweet* of moments (I guess I pointed them all out to you...) so yes, you've made a difference. On a personal level, not "just" by writing an amazing story, which it is in everybody's eyes.

I honestly believe that this is the best thing "I" have done for this community!! (*lol* it's all your doing, of course!)

And *lol* I'm sorry I was too stupid to understand all those hints!! ;)

(*And let me tell you [and everybody else who maybe reads this before it's screened because you get so many comments] a little secret: I really do believe that we now can take the "bitter" away from "sweet" because lately I've been feeling far too... happy?... to be thinking about past times!...)

This was an absolutely wonderful story. Though I must admit to being a bit of a coward since I waited until like a dozen chapters were out until I really started reading. The end of chapter 2 completely broke my heart, so I had to wait until I knew there would be happy times to really start reading. Poor Cassidy. ;_; Your beautiful Christmas story didn't help my soft mushy insides from twisting in sadness, because it made her absence all the more poignant in this one.

But this story was more than worth the wait. Miranda and Andy's romance was sweet and warm and I completely fell in love with it. I found myself absolutely enchanted by the overall theme of hope and love being able to heal. Like getting a hot cup of cocoa when it's bitter cold outside, it completely warmed and melted the melancholy away. Or maybe like getting a scarf and a smile from a pretty girl? ;)

Thank you for the excellent story. It brought many warm, fuzzy feelings. /bow

I'm sorry chapter two was so sad. D: Believe me, I cried the whole way through writing it. T__T When I write characters I tend to become them in a way... to understand how they feel. So Miranda's pain was my own at that moment. :(

The further I moved into the storyline the more I hated the fact that Cassidy wasn't there. Sometimes I'd even nearly write down her name in a scene... ugh. But in hindsight, I'm still glad I did it like this. A journey from a really low and angsty place, all the way up to happiness, is more interesting to write about then a short step up from a normal, pain-free life. ^_^

I'm so glad you enjoyed this story, and I'm very thankful for your continous support throughout each chapter!! :D

Aaaawww, what a beautiful ending to a beautiful story.^^

Well, my imagination is vivid enough for the first scene. *grins*

Yay! Second place!
That bitch got nothing and Emily returns plus introducing Serena to the choir is awesome.

Well, it's not like in every movie (yes, even Hollywood movies) there has to be the first place for a band or singer or else. There are enough movies where there's "only" second or third place and the people are happy in what they'd archieved anyway.
It's great. It's the spirit what's mostly important, not the prize I think.

Wie sagt man doch so schön: Dabeisein ist alles.^^

You always write these things between Miranda, Andy and their family so warm and comfy, I want to hug them all so badly. <3
It's just so cute, like your Miranda Chibi with the scarf. X3

^_^ Bin ich also nicht die Einzige mit einer lebendigen Fantasie. ;-D

I'm happy that I managed to make the characters so warm and approachable. ^_^ I often wondered if at times it didn't get too cheesy... xD But you know, I always have the plot and main scenes worked out way before hand, however the interaction between the characters, I let that progress naturally. So if Andy and Miranda are sweet to each other... they are the ones doing it... I just write down what happens. xD

Yeah... I'm gonna miss chibi!Miranda and her scarf. xD Maybe I'll do some more artwork in the future... xD

Thank you so much for all your support, and for always commenting and leaving encouraging words that helped me pull myself together and be disciplined enough to finish yet another chapter! ^_^

XD

Yeah, I try to draw a chibi Miranda (in a special costume *cough*) myself, but it's still not working... *sigh*
But I'll keep on trying.

I'm looking forward to what you'll come up next with.^^
