After dinner Andy and Miranda spent some time alone in Andy's old bedroom before she walked her lover and Caroline to the black Mercede's out the front waiting to take them to their hotel in town.
"I can't believe I agreed to this." Miranda said as Andy put her lovers bags in the trunk.
"It's only for three days baby. Besides we'll talk tomorrow." Andy replied.
Miranda sighed but nodded her head. "I suppose that will have to do." she replied.
"Aww someones gonna miss me." Andy said as she pulled her lover into her and kissed her softly.
"We spend all our spare time together so of course i'm going to darling." Miranda replied.
Soon they said their goodbyes and Andy grinned as the next time they'd be seeing one another would be at their wedding at this made her giddy with joy. She stood on the curb and watched as the black Mercede's pulled away and drove down the street before she made her way back inside where she met Alex in the hall way who was coming down the stairs. "You missed dinner." she said.
Alex shrugged. "I fell asleep. Wasnt hungry anyways." she replied as they walked into the kitchen.
Andy smiled when she saw Anna and Cassidy sitting at the dining table talking about something. The brunette had been happy when Cassidy said she wanted to spend the days before the wedding with Andy and with this Caroline had decided to go with Miranda.
Seeing her Mother in the kitchen at the sink doing the dishes Andy went over to give her a hand while Alex stood frozen on the spot as she saw herself proposing to Sarah flash before her eyes as she stared into the kitchen. She couldn't handle being in this house where there were so many memories she had with Sarah were in here. She turned around and grabbed her keys and wallet from the table.
"Where are you going?" Mary asked.
"Out." Alex replied.
"You want me to come?" Andy asked already drying her hands off on a cloth.
Alex shook her head. "No you stay here. I just want some time to myself." she replied before she turned around and left.
After watching Alex leave the room Anna stood from the table and went to sit on one of the bar stools at the kitchen bench. "Is Alex alright?" she asked worried for her sister.
"She's getting there." Andy replied and she laid a hand of her sisters shoulder.
Anna nodded and the room was silent for a couple of seconds.
"Why don't we play a game on connect 4?" Andy asked to Anna and Cassidy.
"Sure, sounds good." Cassidy replied.
"Yeah I'm in." Anna replied.
"Awesome. You guys go sit at the table and I'll go and get the game." Andy replied before she turned around and left the room in search for Connect 4 which she gathered would be in her old bedroom somewhere. As she was entering her bedroom she sent off a text to her lover before she opened up her closet. Not long after she found the game she was looking for before she went back into the dining area.
~*~
Miranda smiled down at her phone when she read the small message from her lover.
"Just about to play Connect 4 with Anna and Cass. Miss you terribly xx"
It read.
"I knew it wouldn't be long until you'd realise how much you would miss me. I just wonder how long it will be until you come running to me." Miranda replied.
Just as Andy was setting up Connect 4 with Anna and Cassidy her phone beeped and she laughed at the message causing the younger girls to eye her curiously.
"Very funny but that won't be happening. It's tradition that we don't see each other a couple of days before the wedding." Andy typed out and sent her reply.
Miranda smirked at the reply and started to type out her own. "We'll see." Miranda typed. "I am pretty sure that the major tradition is that I cannot see you in what you're wearing to our wedding and you can't see what I'm wearing." she added before she sent it.
Andy and Cassidy had just started a game of Connect 4 when she got the reply. She grinned at her phone. "That doesn't matter. I know these next couple of days is going to be hell without you but us not being together for these three days builds up anticipation for our wedding day. I'll call you later because I gotta try not and let Cass win this first game. I love you xxx" she sent off her reply.
"I look forward to talking to you. Love you too darling x." Miranda replied before she put her phone down with a small smile on her face and turned her attention to The Book that Emily had sent to her via email. Her assistant Emily and best friend and Art Director Nigel would be arriving tomorrow morning which Miranda was secretly glad about as she was happy that they could both be here for the wedding.
After playing a few rounds of Connect 4 with both Anna and Cassidy. Andy went back into her room and watched some TV. She decided to get an early night seeing as she knew she'd have a busy day with her Mother who would be wanting to do things concerning the wedding. Her mother was also going to be going out with Miranda in the afternoon which made Andy chuckle because she knew her mother could be a little over the top and Miranda couldn't always handle it but she knew that given time Miranda would get along even better with her mother.
2:30AM.
Andy woke to a thump downstairs. She swung her legs over the edge of the double bed and quickly pulled on a pair of pants before she quietly made her way down the hall and down the staircase. It was the cop inside of her that made her want to know what she had heard. She heard another loud noise come from the kitchen and she made her way into the room.
The light was dimly lit when she entered the kitchen and she saw the pantry doors open and for a minute she wondered if they were getting robbed by some homeless person wanting food. Just as she was about to announce herself the person stepped out of the pantry and the brunette saw that it was Alex. "What are you doing?" she asked as she turned the light fully on.
Alex turned around at Andy. "What does it look like I'm trying to find something to eat." she replied before she decided on a box of cereal and grabbed it out and staggered her way to the bench which told Andy that Alex clearly had too much to drink that night.
"Where did you go?" Andy asked. "And more importantly how much have you had to drink?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Just to the pub down the road." Alex replied as she put a handful of cereal in her mouth. "And does it matter how much I've had to drink? I can drink as much as I like."
"Righto." Andy replied before she took some cereal from the box from herself. "How'd you get home?"
"Whats with the 20 questions?" Alex asked.
Andy raised her hands. "I was just wondering but you don't want to talk so I will shut up."
They didn't speak after that, the only sounds in the room was of them eating Corn Flakes.
"I saw Carrie's sister." Alex said after a while.
Andy stopped chewing and stared at Alex. "What?" she said.
Alex grinned. "Yup. Carrie's in town too. She apparently heard about your impending marriage." she replied. "I won't be surprised if she comes on the day and tries to steal you away from Miranda."
Andy stared at Alex not sure on what to think.
"Of course you won't let that happen. Not after what the bitch did to you." Alex replied and at Andy's nod she continued. "I swear if she shows up I'm gonna regret that she did!" she said, the alcohol in her system showing itself again. "You see these fists?" Alex said as she held up her hands. "I will use them on her for you if I need to."
Andy smiled but shook her head. "That's very sweet of you but I won't let you punch her."
Alex glared at her. "What? Why not? That bitch deserves it!"
"Calm down. I meant that I don't want you to punch her because she'll no doubt have you arrested and that would not be good." Andy replied.
Alex thought for a moment. "Yeah. You're probably right. But I would do it for you anyway!"
"I know and that is one of the reasons why I love you so much." Andy replied.
They chatted a little while longer before Alex started swaying alot more and she thought it was time for them both to get some sleep and she helped the other woman upstairs to her room. "Oh I forgot to say that I invited Carrie's sister to your bachelor party." Alex said as they reached her room and she stumbled inside.
"You what?" Andy nearly yelled.
Alex began to laugh at the look on Andy's face. "Oh my god if only you could see yourself right now!" she cackled with laughter as she fell down on the double bed. "Do you really think that I would invite the bitch's sister to your bachelor party?" Alex said when she recovered from her laughter.
"You're right. Of course you wouldn't. I don't know why I even believed you for a second." Andy replied and then sighed. "I'm going to get back to sleep. Thank you again for waking me up." she said sarcastically.
"Not a problem!" Alex replied before she saluted Andy with a grin.
"Get some sleep." Andy replied and then turned around and left Alex's room and she returned back to hers and fell asleep when she hit the bed.

Later That Morning. 9AM.
Andy woke up and made her way into the kitchen where she found Alex already up and sitting on a bar stool. "I didn't expect to see you up this early." the brunette said as she made her way to the coffee machine for her much needed coffee.
"I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep." Alex replied as she downed the rest of her coffee before biting into a doughnut. "That's the difference between you and I. I can wake without a hang over whereas you cannot."
"Yeah yeah." Andy replied. Alex used to always go on and on about how awesome she was because she never got headaches the next morning or threw up after a night of partying. Andy, Sarah and even Ivan used to envy her back in the days but now they were pretty much over it.
They talked over a coffee and a few doughnuts before Andy stood from her stool. "I'm gonna go shower."
"Good luck with that. I just had one and there was no hot water when I finished." Alex replied.
Andy groaned in annoyance. She missed the Townhouse and its endless supply of hot water. She briefly thought of going to Miranda's hotel room and using her shower but she decided against it because she wanted to show Miranda that she wouldn't break their three day rule of not seeing one another as she came up with it and considering she knew Miranda wouldn't cave in, she didn't want to be the one who caved in to go and see her lover. So Andy put up with a cold shower before she started her day of helping the crew finish setting up the backyard for Saturday.

Alex pulled out a can of Coke and when she closed the fridge her eyes landed on a picture of herself and Sarah. She had her arm around her wife and was kissing her cheek whilst Sarah took the photo and stared into the camera with that beautiful smile on her face. She had always wanted to take pictures so always had her camera with her.
She stood there staring at the photos on the fridge.
"Here are the results." The doctor said as he handed the papers to Alex. "I can give you a moment if you like?" he added.
Alex shook her head. "No, it's fine. I won't be long." she said and with shaking hands she flipped a page and read the first few lines on the paper. She stood up and put the papers back down on the table and left without saying another word to the doctor.
A Couple Hours Later.
"She died from a small brain hemorrhage." Alex said to Andy where they had been sitting in the townhouses sitting room nursing a glass of scotch from Miranda's liqour cabnet.
Andy stared at her silently for a moment. "Um." she didn't know what to say. "Did you-"
"I was given the results today." Alex replied as she stared at the wall blankly but Andy doubted that she was actually seeing the wall.
Andy remained quiet as she wasn't sure what else she should say and it didn't seem like Alex wanted to talk anyways so they sat their drinking their scotch in silence.
"That wasn't all." Alex said as she turned to look at Andy. "She was pregnant."
Andy's eyes widened. "What?" she said. "She was cheating on you?"
"Oh god no." Alex replied reassuring Andy that her wife wasn't cheating. "Fuck she'd never do that to me. She saw how burned you had been after Carrie did it to you and she swore she'd never do it to me." Alex said and continued. "We had decided to start a family a few months ago and we only found the right sperm donor a few weeks ago and before you say anything we were going to tell you if she did infact get pregnant."
"Oh my god." Andy murmured. Not only had Alex lost the love of her life but a child too. She stood from the couch and sat next to Alex and pulled her to her and held her close.
The news had hit Alex hard. Pregnant. Sarah had been pregnant. She would have had her little girl after all. But that was never going to happen now.
Alex kicked the fridge furiously and cursed Sarah for leaving her. All she could see were images of Sarah in her mind, and all she could hear Sarah's voice and that was doing nothing to ease the pain she felt of knowing that she had been pregnant. She shook her head and kicked the fridge again. "I need a drink." she muttered before walking out of the kitchen.
Maybe one day it would hurt less, but for today, it hurt her very much to think that she might have had a child with the woman she loved and adored.
~*~
As Alex downed another drink she stared at the back wall of the bar. All she could think about was her Sarah.
"From the moment I met you I loved you and knew that I would spend every waking moment with you. I thought that it would be for many more years to come. Now when I think of life without you it kills me inside." She had tears welling up in her eyes but she wasn't going to allow them to fall just yet. She glanced momentarily at the coffin before looking at the back wall again. "If it weren't for my getting taken in by the Sach's I probably would never have met you and never had the chance to be with you and to have made you my wife. Ever since the day we've met you've made me the happiest woman---" Alex had talked a little while longer before she left the small podium and sat down next to Andy and listened to the Priest as he began to speak.
At this moment Alex wondered if the pain would ever go away. It really was killing her without her wife by her side. It wasn't right. It felt wrong without her other half with her and she knew she'd do anything she could to have her back with her. Sarah had made her a better person. She'd lived her early life in and out of foster homes, getting herself into trouble all the time, and even when the Sach's adopted her and she settled into a normal family life she still got herself into trouble but the Sach's were always there for her still. They didn't kick her out, they'd ground her for a few weeks and then everything would be fine before she did something bad again. But when she met Sarah, her life had been turned upside now. The blonde made her want to chance and so she did. She didn't do things that got her into trouble. Sarah had made her into a woman who she had liked being. But now with Sarah gone Alex faired that she'd go back to her old ways which consisted of drinking big amounts of alcohol and causing trouble. She downed another two shots of alcohol before she slipped off the bar stool and made her way out of the pub and make home.

Andy was in her bedroom studying herself in the mirror because of what she was wearing. She was still unsure on whether she should wear it to the wedding or not. Just as she was about to call Alex to get her to come back to get her opinion again said woman walked through her bedroom door. "Hey." Andy said.
Alex nodded at her and took a swig from a bottle of Jack Daniels she grabbed from the fridge. "You're trying it on again?" Alex said as she eyed what Andy had on.
Andy nodded and looked at herself in the mirror again.
"Do you think Miranda will like it?" Andy asked. "I feel weird wearing it." she added.
Taking a swig from her beer bottle again Alex stood behind the brunette. "For the hundredth time Miranda is going to love it." she said.
Andy grinned. "I can't believe I'm getting married in 2 days."
"Yeah. I still can't believe it." Alex replied and grinned at the glare she received from Andy.
"Whatever." Andy said and pushed Alex away.
"Oh you know I was only kidding." Alex replied with a laugh.
"You look really sexy in this." Alex said as she looked at Andy in the mirror at what she was wearing. "You know if you weren't engaged to be married I'd be seriously thinking about having another go with you."
"Oh really?" Andy asked turning to Alex with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh forsure. It'd be just like that time when we were both 16 in your bedroom but it'd be better." Alex replied.
Andy laughed and shook her head. "I can't believe you just said that."
"Yeah." Alex shrugged. "I blame the alcohol." she added before she collapsed down onto the bed with a sigh. She began to laugh as she thought back to the day when she was in Andy's room and the next thing they knew she had her hand down Andy's pants trying to get her off while they watched something on the TV and then Mary had walked into the room just when she thought she had Andy close to coming. "I cannot believe she chose that moment to walk into the room!" Alex said through her laughter.
Andy remembered how petrified she had been thinking that her mother had seen what they had been doing but Mary had been oblivious as she walked over to her closet and began hanging up some clothes which gave Alex enough time to remove her hand from her pants. "Yeah. Talk about bad timing." Andy replied.
When Alex realised that Andy wasn't laughing along with her she sobered her laughing and sat up and looked at Andy. "Seriously stop worrying you look fine."
"You're right. I look good and Miranda is going to like it. I don't know why I am thinking she won't." Andy replied and began to take the clothing off her. She eyed Alex over her shoulder. "You still think of that day?" she asked curiously.
Alex shrugged. "Sometimes."
Andy found this interesting as she pulled her skinny jeans back on and a t-shirt from her bag. It was very rare for Andy to think of that day she had with Alex but if she did she had always wondered what would have happened if they never got walked in on but again she rarely thought of it but decided not to tell Alex that. "So onto another subject; what have you got planned for tomorrow night? Nothing big I hope." Andy said to Alex as she took the bottle of Jack Daniels from Alex and took a swig.
Alex smirked. "Oh you're gonna love it." she replied. "I just hope Miranda won't get too jealous." she added.
"Let me guess. You hired strippers?" Andy asked.
Alex's grin confirmed was her answer. She knew that tomorrow was going to be a big night partying and just hoped that if she were to get a hang over that she'd be able to sleep it away before the wedding. "Oh god. Miranda's going to kill me." she muttered as she rose from the bed and out of the room and Alex's laughter floated out of her room behind her.
