The Next Day.

Miranda woke with a smile when she felt her lovers mouth kissing her way down her body. She threaded her fingers into Andy's brunette hair which caused Andy to smile and look up at her. "Good morning." she said softly, her voice still rough from sleep. She went back to what she had been doing and made her way to her favourite spot.

It wasn't long before she had her lover thrusting herself onto her tongue and yelling her name into the silent room.

When Andy pulled back she wiped her mouth with the back of her left hand and grinned down at her very sated lover. She lay down and rested her head in the palm of her hand as she gazed down at Miranda who was getting her breathing back to normal. It made Andy ecstatic with joy that she could make Miranda this undone and out of control in bed. "Hey." she said when Miranda's eyes fluttered open and stared into her own.

A small smile appeared on Miranda's face and she lifted her hand to cup her young lovers cheek. "Hi darling. What a wonderful start to the morning." she said just as softly.

Andy grinned before she leaned down and captured Miranda's lips in a passionate kiss. "We're finally leaving for Cincinnati today." she whispered. "Wow. in 4 days you're going to be my wife." she added with a smile.

Miranda beamed, something she rarely did, at her lover. "The fact that an amazing, beautiful and intelligent woman would want to spend her life with an old mother of two teenage girls it just.. it makes me feel very special and very loved." she whispered as tears welled up in her eyes. "Besides the girls' birth, our wedding day is going to be the most special day of my life."

Andy smiled and wiped away the tears from underneath Miranda's eyes. "I feel exactly the same baby." she replied before she kissed her lover softly on the mouth.

Miranda kissed her back and rolled them over so that Andy was underneath her. She smirked down at her lover. "I believe its your turn now." she husked.

Andy shivered at the thought as she knew it was going to be a great morning of love making.

And it had been, Andy thought with a grin, as she showered a few hours later. It was 9am and Miranda had reluctantly left the bed to go see if the girls were home to see if they had packed their things for Cinicinnati.

Miranda entered Carolines bedroom where her daughter was still asleep in bed and woke her up which annoyed the young redhead. Once she knew Caroline would actually get out of bed she went across the hall to Cassidy where she saw her daughter already awake and dressed. She walked over to where she sat at her desk and down at what she was holding. "What is that?"

Cassidy smiled down at the little book Lana had made her. "It's just something Lana made for me. The adventures of Cassidy and Lana in NYC. It's got a few drawings in it of us, like getting caught in the pool and when we went to the park and just various things we did together. It has little stories with them. It's cute." she said and handed it to Miranda so she could see for herself.

Miranda looked down at it and flicked through a page and noticed that Lana was talented when it came to drawing and could see the young girl having a great career as an Artist. "It's lovely. Very sweet of her." she replied. She was happy that her daughter had found someone nice to be with instead of Amy who, right from the start, she hadn't approved of. "We'll be leaving around 11 and breakfast will be ready in a few minutes." she said.

Cassidy nodded. "Well my bags and packed." she said pointing to them by the door. "And I'll be down for breakfast in a minute."
Miranda nodded and left a couple seconds later and was met by Andrea on the second floor landing coming out of their bedroom. "Hey." Andy said and wrapped her arms around her lover and kissed her softly on the lips. "Mm. I love your kisses." she whispered.

"Well I better continue kissing you then." Miranda said with a smirk before capturing her lovers lips with her own again.

"Oh gross! Not what I wanted to see first thing in the morning." Caroline mumbled as she walked passed them to go downstairs for breakfast.

Andy laughed as she pulled back from Miranda. "Scarred for life eh?" she asked.

"Something like that." Caroline said over her shoulder but she had a smile on her face as she was extremely happy for her mother. She finally found the love of her life who'll always be there for her.

Andy kissed Miranda once more before she took her lovers hand. "'Suppose we should head down for breakfast too." she said before leaning in closer to her lover. "I'd much prefer to have you for breakfast though." she whispered with a grin.

Miranda shivered at the thought. "I think you already did that earlier darling."

Andy's grinned widened as they walked down the stairs chatting softly to one another.

11am.
It wasn't long after they had breakfast that 11am rolled around and Miranda and the girls were waiting in the lounge for Andrea to come back from having gone into work to meet the new replacement for Sarah.

Forty Five Minutes Earlier.

"So do you know anything about her?" Alex asked as they walked another block to the station.

"The replacement? Nah I know nothing about her, just heard from Doug that she was arriving today." Andy replied.

They soon reached the precinct and they entered the building.

"I'm just going to speak to Shell for a minute." Alex said to Andy who nodded. Alex went into their boss's office whilst Andy went towards the locker room where she knew her team mates would be as it was their hangout when they were all at the precinct. As predicted she saw Dom and Nate in the locker room and Dom was standing at the end of the weight bars while Nate was lifting the bar doing weights. "Hey guys." she said.

"Hey." They both said and Andy noticed that Nate didn't look at her when she entered the room. She had to chuckle at that as it seemed the young guy was still in a shitty mood with her from the day before whereas Andy was well and truly over it, thanks to her beautiful lover, she thought with a grin, one that she quickly covered with her hand. "So wheres this new replacement?" Andy asked as she sat down on a bench.

Dom shrugged. "Were waiting for Shelley to introduce her but apparently she isn't here yet."

Andy nodded and a minute or so later Shelley entered the room with a woman walking behind her. Andy looked her up and down. She was around her own height, had short hair that was about ear length, and had a few freckles on her cheeks and reminded Andy too much of her ex in the looks department. But she wouldn't hold this against her or be inpolite as she seemed like a nice woman.

"Guys this is Bree our new Officer at the Precinct. I trust you will all make her feel welcome." Shelley said as she looked at all four officers in front of her before she gave a nod of her head, turned and left just as Alex walked past her to enter the room.

Andy went up and introduced herself and out of the corner of her eye she could make out Alex going to her locker.

After Andy, Dom and Nate introduced themselves Andy went to Alex. "I gotta go we're leaving in half an hour so I'll see you tomorrow." she said.

Bree walked up to Alex. "I'm Bree. Nice to meet you." she said and extended her hand for a shake.

Alex looked at her blankly before saying a quick hi and left the room.

"Did I do something wrong?" Bree asked Dom her new partner.

"It's not really you. It's just 'cause you're replacing her wife who got killed on the job." He replied.

"Oh." Bree replied and glanced down the empty hall way that Alex had disappeared in.

Alex caught up with Andy outside just catching her. "Is there enough room for me to come with you?" she asked.

"Well yeah I did say you could come with us but you said it was okay." Andy replied.

"I changed my mind." Alex said as she began to get on the back of Andy's bike.

They made it to the Townhouse where they found the Priestly women waiting for them in the lounge. "Change of plans. Alex is coming with us." Andy said as she entered the room with Alex behind her.

"So whats the new chick like?" Cassidy asked as she grabbed her bag from the hall.

"She seems nice enough." Andy replied.

Alex snorted. "She reminds her of Carrie."

Andy glared at her and Miranda's eyebrow rose.

"They just look slightly similiar." Andy said to Miranda and tried to laugh it off.

"More like alot familiar. They look like they good be sisters." Alex replied as she helped Caroline with her bag to get it into the car.

"So what?" Andy said. "I've only got eyes for my sexy wife-to-be here." she said as she wrapped an arm around Miranda and held her close kissing her cheek.

Miranda smiled at her lover before Andy and Alex helped get the rest of their bags in the car. They were on their way to the airport to board their private plane.

Cincinnati.

Sachs Residence.

It was late afternoon and they had arrived about an hour earlier but they'd had lunch at a little cafe before they made their way to the Sachs house. Miranda and Caroline would be leaving that night to stay in a fancy hotel in town which Miranda wasn't too pleased with because she wanted to be with her Andrea instead of being apart for 3 days but she was doing it to make her lover happy.

"I am so excited Andy!" Mary said as she entered her room.

Andy looked up and smiled at her mother who walked over to the window and looked down at the backyard where a marquee had been set up and fairy lights were being hung up. There was a small stage and a dance floor where Andy and Miranda were to dance, something Andy was thrilled about because she loved to dance.

"It's going to be so great." Mary continued as she turned to look at both Andy and Miranda.

"It sure will be." Andy replied with a smile.

After a while Andy left Miranda and Mary to speak and looked for Alex.

Alex was sitting out on the back porch and was lost in her thoughts and daydream.

Alex was checking her email when her cell began to ring on the table next to her. Picking it up she saw that it was Sarah. "Hey baby. What's up? I thought you'd be busy dancing the night away with your friends?" she asked. Her lover had been out for the past couple of hours clubbing with some mates.

"Oh we have and its be so fun!-" Sarah said and Alex sat back and smiled as she listened to Sarah continue chatting excitedly about the night, occasionaly slurring her words and not making much sense but Alex understood most of it. "We just finished dancing to a Britney Spears song, you know that one I like?" Sarah said. "And now I am thinking I need to come home because-" she hiccupped. "because I think its time you and I have some fun together." she said. "You wanna come and get me?" she asked.

"Where are you?" Alex asked already standing up and getting her keys.

"Outside the club." Sarah replied.

"Okay. Stay there I am leaving now." Alex replied.

"Were going to have so much fun tonight." Sarah replied and Alex could tell her wife was grinning on the other end and the thought made her smile.

A few minutes later she was pulling up outside the club where she saw Sarah leaning against the brick wall. She got out and went over to her and Sarah beamed when she saw her. "Hi honey!" she said as she wrapped her arms around Alex's neck. "Oh I've missed you." she whispered and laid her head on Alex's shoulder and closed her eyes as Alex walked her to the car.

The ride back to their apartment Sarah chattered about random things and it was only when they pulled up outside their apartment building that Sarah stopped speaking.

Alex turned to look at her wife who was staring outside the window but she didn't think she was seeing much at all. "I really don't feel so good." Sarah said and covered her mouth when she hiccupped with her hand.

Alex laughed. "That's what generally happens when you down alot of alcohol." she said as she got out of the car and helped her beloved from the car. After taking only a couple of steps towards their building Sarah stopped and hurled on the side walk. "Let's get you up to bed." Alex said.

Sarah remained quiet.

Alex looked down at her wife and saw that she had passed out. She chuckled and picked her up in her arms and walked inside. She groaned in annoyance when she came to find that the elevators weren't working and with a sigh she began walking up the staircases to their room.

11am.

Sarah woke up with a loud groan as she shielded her eyes away from the blaring sun that was shining through the windows and down onto the bed where she lay. "Alex!" she yelled.

Alex looked towards the bedroom with a grin from where she sat on the couch. "Yeah?" she asked when she entered the room and saw her wife hiding underneath the covers.

"Can you get me something for my headache?" Sarah asked. "And close those curtains!"

Alex chuckled as she went over and closed the curtains from the sun.

"It's not funny." Sarah said and frowned.

"I'm sorry. It's not, I know." Alex replied as she knelt down beside her wife and pulled the blanket away from her beautiful face.

Sarahs eyes slowly fluttered open and they adjusted to the semi-darkened room before gazing into her wifes eyes. A small smile formed its way on her face. "Hi." she mumbled.

"Hey you." Alex replied before leaning in to kiss her lover not caring about morning breath.

Sarah pulled Alex into the bed and after a little while her bad headache was long forgotton.

Alex, sensing Andy behind her, looked over her should and saw the brunette standing in the door way. They gazed out to the backyard silently for a few moments. "It's coming along nicely out there." Alex soon said.

Andy nodded. "It is." she replied and stepped forward to sit down on the chair next to Alex.

"I was just remembering when Sarah got drunk a few months ago." Alex said.

"Oh you told me about that. She threw up on the side walk and then passed out and you had to carry her inside and up the stairs because the elevators werent working." Andy replied and laughed.

Alex smiled a sad smile. "I just can't stop thinking about her."

"You're always going to think about her. That'll never change." Andy replied. She didn't know how she'd cope if she were to ever lose Miranda.

"Yeah but its just so hard. Everything reminds me about her. Like before when I was standing in the kitchen. I'd look at the waffle maker and it reminded me of her. I couldn't even look at the fridge because of all the photo's of us on there." Alex said before she sighed. "I hate it without her." she said and stood abruptly from the chair she was in and started to pace.

"It'll get better." Andy said as she stood and took hold of Alex stilling her from her pacing.

"Right now it doesnt feel like it will." Alex replied.

"It'll take time, of course." Andy replied.

"Let's just talk and think about something else, okay?" Alex replied and stepped away from Andy. "Do you know who's going to be singing at the wedding?" she asked as she stared at the stage in the backyard where people were busy setting up the lights and the little DJ box and what not.

"You know I have no idea. Miranda has been keeping real quiet on that." Andy replied as she too looked towards the stage. "She hasn't told you anything?" she asked as she looked back to Alex.

Alex shook her head. "Nothing. I don't think the girls know either."

Andy shrugged. "I guess we'll soon find out. I just hope they're good."

"Knowing Miranda I am sure they will be." Alex replied just before Miranda stepped outside.

"There you are darling." Miranda said as she stepped next to her lover. "I finally managed to get away from your Mother. I haven't seen a woman her age so excited before." she said.

"Says you." Andy said with a smirk and Alex laughed. "You've been excited for weeks now!" Andy added.

Miranda cleared her throat and looked out to the backyard. "Yes well how could I not be?" she finally said.

Andy wrapped her arms around her lover and kissed her on the cheek. "I am just as excited so it's only obvious that Mum is going to be feeling the same." she replied.

Alex, not feeling up to being around the happy couple when she was so sad and depressed, left the porch silently and went into her childhood bedroom and collapsed on the bed in tears and soon fell asleep.
