The rest of the week had gone relatively quickly and they now found themselves pulling up in a towncar out the front of Andrea's childhood home.
"Ready?" Andy asked as she took Miranda's hand.
Miranda was slightly nervous wihich was an odd feeling to her but she nodded. "Yes of course." she said and Andy squeezed her hand.
Alex and Andy went to the trunk and pulled out their suitcases and they wheeled them up to the door followed by Miranda and Sarah. The twins had stayed home with friends.
Andy rang the door bell and they were surprised when no one answered it. She shared a confused look with Alex who shrugged her shoulders before she grabbed out her keys and put it in the door and opened it.
They stepped inside and found the house silent and empty.
Wandering into the kitchen Alex saw a note on the fridge.
"Got called into work. Will be home later tonight. Help yourselves to the fresh cookies I baked earlier that are on the counter. Luv Mum. PS, Anna went to Gran's and will be home at 5."
Alex read aloud. She looked over at the cookies and grinned and the others saw. "You and your food!" Andy said with a laugh.
Miranda snorted knowing that Andy was just as terrible when it came to food.
"Says you who ate 4 whole pizza's without any help on your 25th!" Alex said as she grabbed a cookie and took a bite out of it.
Miranda stared at Andy and the brunette felt her face going bright red.
Alex nearly choked with laughter when she saw the looks on both Andy and Miranda's faces.
Andy opened her mouth to say something to Miranda but nothing came out. She blushed again before she went over to Alex and punched her hard in the arm. "I thought we made a deal that we'd keep that a secret on that very night!" she said.
Alex began to laugh at her again.
Andy put her arms around Ale'x waist and began to tackle her to the floor and they began to play fight like they did every now and then.
Sarah, being used to his, placed her hand on Miranda's shoulder. "I'll show you to Andy's room while these two act like 10 years olds."
"I heard that!" Alex said as she was pushed back onto the floor.
"Not too cocky now are you?" Andy said with a smug grin pleased that she had Alex pinned to the ground.
When Miranda and Sarah left they heard Andy squeal out and the brunette began laughing when Alex had managed to escape from Andy's grip.
"Oh no you don't!" Andy said as she plunged forward again and jumped on Alex.

A few minutes later a flustered Andy walked into her old bedroom where she found Miranda looking through her collection of books.
"I see you're making yourself at home already." Andy said soflty with a small smile.
Miranda looked up at her. "Finished your little game?" she asked and her lips twitched into a smile.
Andy laughed. "Yeah obviously what happened back there is somehting that rarely happens anymore." she said and closed her door. "About what Alex said.." she trailed off.
Miranda chuckled. Yes. Let's talk about that." she said and continued. "4 pizza's to yourself? Really Andrea!" she said but her voice wasn't at all serious it sounded as if she was about to start laughing.
"What? I.." she trailed off not knowing what she could say.

Andy blushed. "I had a random growth spurt!" was all she came up with.
"Are you sure you don't still have these little random growth spurts as I recall you eating 2 servings of pasta the other night." Miranda said still smiling.
"Oi!" Andy said but she was smiling as well and she stepped forward and pushed Miranda back against her old bed. "You're going to wish you didn't say that beecause I'm going to fuck you and when you feel like you're about to come I won't let you. I'm going to pull back and be a tease. You're gonna be so worked up that you'll start begging me for release." she said with a smug grin.
Miranda swallowed loudly and this only made Andrea's smile widen.

Andy laughed at them as she walked up to her. "Hey sis!" she said.
"Hey Andy!" Anna said and they hugged. Then she put her arm around Alex again. "I'm so glad that you'te both here. I've missed you's!" she said.
"And we've missed you terrible as well!" Alex replied.
Miranda and Sarah were waiting just behind the others when Anna noticed them both. "Sarah!" she said with a wide grrin. "Great to see you again!" she said and hugged her.
Before Andy could introduce Anna to her lover her sister had already turned to look at her. "And you must be Miranda! I've heard so much about you from Andy!' she said.
Miranda smiled genuinely at her. "it's lovely to finally meet you. Andrea has told me a lot about you as well."
Anna grinned. "I really love your magazine!"
Miranda smiled again. I'm so glad that you do."
Andy smiled when Anna began to struck up a conversation wtih Miranda about Runway glad that she didn't have to be upset with her little sis being disaproving of her lover.
They soon made their way down the hall and into the kitchen where they sat at the table and chattered. An hour went by and they heard the door door open and close. They all walked downn the hall where they saw Mary Sachs coming down the hall. When she spotted Andy, Alex and Sarah she smiled. "My girls are home!" she said excitedly and hugged Alex and then Sarah. "It's so good to see you both again." she said and looked Sarah up and down. "You're looking really great." she said befor she moved to Andy and hugged and kissed her. ""Happy Birthday sweetie. I'm so glad to see you."
"I'm glad to see you to Mum." she turned to Miranda and smiled lovingly at her. "I'd like you to meet Miranda. Miranda meet my Mum Mary." she introduced them.
"Lovely to meet you Mary." Miranda said softly.
"I wish I could say the same about you." Mary muttered as she walked past and down the hall towards the kitchen.
"I bet you're all hungry from your trip so I'll get dinner started straight away!" she said over her shoulder.
Andy glared at her mothers retreating back before she turned an apologetic look to her lover. "I'm so sorry." she said.
Miranda waved her hand. "Darling it's fine."
"No it's not fine to me. I want her to like you." Andy said as she stepped up to Miranda and put her hands on Miranda's hips. They stood there for a few seconds just hold one another before they walked hand in hand down the hall and to the kitchen where they saw Mary in the kitchen going through the fridge and Alex, Sarah and Anna were catching up at the table.
When Mary closed the fridge and looked and upon seeing Andy and Miranda holding hands she closed her eyes and breathed deeply so she wouldn't say anything she regretted. "Andy sweetie will you help me with dinner?" she asked hoping to get her daughter away from Miranda.
"Of course." Andy replied and pecked Miranda softly on the lips before she strepped into the kitchen and began helping her mother cook. Miranda took a seat at the tbale. "I thought I asked you to be polite around Miranda."Andy hissed as she stood next to her Mum.
Her mother shook her head. "You know that won't be happening. I don't approve of her."
Andy felt angry with the way her mother was acting and really wanted to start an argument but she knew that would be childish so she kept her mouth shut.
About half an hour later Andy and Mary had cooked a really nice beef stir fry and they were all seated and eating at the table.
"How was your afternoon at work Mary? I assume the ER would be fairly busy on a Friday afternoon?" Miranda asked.
Mary clearing ignored Miranda as she turned to Anna. "Sweetie, did you finish that assigment?" she asked
Anna, surprised at her mother obvious dislike for Miranda nodded quicky "Of course."
Eveything Miranda said to Mary throughout dinner was ignored and Andy found herself beginning to get extremely pissed off with her mother.
"Have you heard from Axel lately Mum?" Alex asked
Mary shook her head. "I haven't, no."
"I was thinking of going out to the pri-" she cot cut off by her mother with a firm. "Don't go there." and Alex instantly stopped what she'd been about to say.
"Mum. What the hell?" Andy asked.
"We dont need to talk about this right now." Mary replied.
"Why because you don't want Miranda knowing where he really is?" Andy asked before she turned to Miranda. "My mother here usually says that Axel is in another start with his work when really he's in prison."
"Oh." Mrianda replied not knowing what else she should say due to the tone of Andy's voice.
"Yeah." Andy replied and glared at her mother.
After the awkwardness they finished off dinner before Mary stood to get the cark she'd made for Andy.
Andy, having calmed down smiled at her mother who smiled back at her. "Thanks Mum." she said as she looked down at the white chocolate cake with dark chocolate drizzled on top of it.
"You're welcome." she replied before she handed Andy over her late birthday present. "I know it's not much but I hope you'll like it."
"I'm sure I will." Andy said as she began opening the present and saw she got a few pairs of clothes. She hugged her mum. "Thank you." she said.
Anna handed her over a present as well and when Andy opened it she grinned when she saw a bottle of Jack Daniels. "Cheers sister.
Looks like we'll be drinking this later!" she said and winked at Anna.
"She most certainly won't be!" Her mother replied firmly.
"Oh c'mon, I bet you were doing worse things when you were her age. A couple of drinks won't hurt!" Andy said.
After a bit more chatting Andy watched as Miranda excused herself to get some fresh air.
Curious Andy wolfed down the rest of her cake before she excused herself as well and went off to find Miranda.
She found her lover standing outside and was looking out into the garden.
It was dark but Miranda could still make out into the backyard. There were beds of flowers everywhere, a small bridge up the back with a pond, a fountain to the left, a small garage off to the right, and there was also a small old lamp post. And where she was standing would make a great entertainment area.
Andy walked over to Miranda and wrapped her arms around her lover from behind and rested her chin on Miranda's shoulder as she looked up into the night sky and enjoyed standing with Miranda.
"Such a beautiful backyard." Miranda softly said and continued. "The one thing that annoys me about having the townhouse in the city is that the backyard is so small but this backyard is huge. It's the sort of placed I would love to get married in." she said wthout exactly thinking what she said.
Andy smiled. "I think that would be really beautiful." she replied and could already picture their wedding day." She hoped that it'd happen someday. "I love you. I hope, when the time is right, I'm able to marry you someday." she whispered voicing her thoughts.
They'd never spoken about marriage before and Miranda found herself smiling at these words as she'd love nothing more then to be able to marry her lover and spend the rest of her life with her. "I hope so too." she softly replied.
They soon made their way back inside and sat at the table.
Andy watched as her mother stood and took the plates into the kitchen and she followed after her. "Are you going to be like this towards Miranda for the whole fucking weekend?" she asked.
"No need to use that sort of language Andrea." Mary replied as she put the plates quite loudly in the sink. "and yes. I don't know what you could possibly see in that woman!" she hissed at her. "She's 3 years older than me for crying out loud!" this was something that caught Miranda's ears. She'd had no idea.
"I think she's the sexiest woman I've laid my eyes on." Andy replied.
Her mother wasn't pelased tohear this.
"I just.." Andy sighed and shook her head. "Can't you be polite and talk to her just for a short while at least for me?" she asked.
"I can't do that Andy not when I know she's going to hurt you. I don't want that to happen again. It hurt me as well when I saw how heart broken you were. Don't you remember how you were when Carrie did what she did. You wouldn't eat for days!" Mary replied. "You know she's going to do what Carrie did, you do realise?" she said.
"How many times do I have to tell you? Miranda is nothing like Carrie!" Andy said loudly drawing the other womens attetion to them. "I love Miranda with my whole heart. I've never been more happy then I am when I am with her. Can't you see that? Why is it so hard for your thick head to fucking understand that?" Her mother reamiend quiet and And shook her head as she felt tears welling up in her eyes by her mothers behaviour.
Miranda stood and made her way over to her lover. "Andrea." she said as she put her hand on her lovers shoulder. "Come on lets go to yo-" she got cut off by Mary.
"Her name is Andrea not Ahn-drey-a. It sounds absolutely ridiculous when you pronounce it like that." Mary said glaring at Miranda.
This only made Andy get angrier. "We're leaving. I can't stand being around you when you won't even try to be polite with my gfirlfriend. I don't want you to make contact with me again unless you're going to apologize and are willing to get to know Miranda if not don't bother calling me." she said and turned around. "Miranda!" she said over her shoulder as she made her way to her bedroom to get their things together.
Miranda gaved Mary a cold gare. "I hope you now realise just how much your attitude is hurting your daughter." she said and with that she turned around and left the room.
Alex, Sarah and Anna were lift to sit awkwardly at the table.
"I just can't beleive she's acting like this." Andy said as she began dumping clothes in her suitcase. "Shes never been like this ever!" she said as she fely herself becoming more angry with the way her mother wsas acting.
"Hopefully now that she sees how upset you are she'll come around." Miranda said softly as she stepped closer to her lover and placed her hands on top of Andy's shoulders who was now trying to get the suitcase to zip closed but it wasn't cooperating.
"Bastard of a thing!" Andy hissed in frustration.
"Darling, calm down." Miranda said.
"I'm sorry." Andy said with a sigh as she turned and looked at her lover.
"She'll come around." Miranda said again. She just hoped that it was true because she knows how much Andrea's family means to her and how it'd extremely hurt her if her mother were to never speak to her again.
"I know, I'm just over reacting." Andy said as seh pulled away and ran a slightly shaking hand through her thick hair.
Their was a knock on the door and Andy turned around and frowned when she saw Alex as she'd been hoping to see her mother who had come to apoligize. But of course that wasn't going to happen.
"You know she'll come around. Once she realises how she's acting she will." Aleiix said.
"Like I said to Miranda I know I'm jsut overreacting." Andy replied.
Alex nodded. "You're alright then?"
"I'll be fine." Andy nodded with a small smile.
"Alright then. We'll see you when we get back to the City on sunday." She replied before she turned and gave Miranda a smile. Then she left.

"Well, we're off. " Andy announced as they entered the living area, their suitcases rolling behind them.
"Please stay Andy." Mary said as she stood from the couch.
Andy shook her head. "I can't stay until you can support my relationship with Miranda. I love her and that is never going to change." she replied.
Mary remained quiet and Andy took that as her reply. Her mother wasn't going to accept it just yet. Hopefully given time she will.
"Bye then." Andy said as she hugged her mother. Then she turned to Anna. "Well sis, It's been great seeing you again. We'll have to organise for you to come to the City sometime soon." she said with a smile.
Anna hugged her. "It was great seeing you too. I can't wait to come to the City again. Love you." her sister replied and Anna looked at Miranda. "It was so awesome meeting you. You'l have to show me Runway when I come to visit." She said.
"I'd be happy too." Mrianda replied with a small smile.
Andy then grabbed the handle of her suitcase and Alex helped with Miranda's as they made their way down the hall and outside to the waiting towncar that Miranda had called for.
Andy hugged Alex.
"I'm sorry about tonight." Alex said when she pulled back. "You sure you're okay?"
Andy nodded and smiled at her sister.
"Rightio. Text me when you land. Catch you later Miranda!" Alex replied before she closed the door to the car.
When the car pulled away from her childhood home was when Andy finally allowed the tears that were welling up in her eyes to fall. She leaned into Miranda and buried her head in her lovers warm neck and she silently sobbed.

"I'm glad to see you to Mum." she turned to Miranda and smiled lovingly at her. "I'd like you to meet Miranda. Miranda meet my Mum Mary." she introduced them.
"Lovely to meet you Mary." Miranda said softly.
"I wish I could say the same about you." Mary muttered as she walked past and down the hall towards the kitchen.
"I bet you're all hungry from your trip so I'll get dinner started straight away!" she said over her shoulder.
Andy glared at her mothers retreating back before she turned an apologetic look to her lover. "I'm so sorry." she said.
Miranda waved her hand. "Darling it's fine."
"No it's not fine to me. I want her to like you." Andy said as she stepped up to Miranda and put her hands on Miranda's hips. They stood there for a few seconds just hold one another before they walked hand in hand down the hall and to the kitchen where they saw Mary in the kitchen going through the fridge and Alex, Sarah and Anna were catching up at the table.
When Mary closed the fridge and looked and upon seeing Andy and Miranda holding hands she closed her eyes and breathed deeply so she wouldn't say anything she regretted. "Andy sweetie will you help me with dinner?" she asked hoping to get her daughter away from Miranda.
"Of course." Andy replied and pecked Miranda softly on the lips before she strepped into the kitchen and began helping her mother cook. Miranda took a seat at the tbale. "I thought I asked you to be polite around Miranda."Andy hissed as she stood next to her Mum.
Her mother shook her head. "You know that won't be happening. I don't approve of her."
Andy felt angry with the way her mother was acting and really wanted to start an argument but she knew that would be childish so she kept her mouth shut.
About half an hour later Andy and Mary had cooked a really nice beef stir fry and they were all seated and eating at the table.
"How was your afternoon at work Mary? I assume the ER would be fairly busy on a Friday afternoon?" Miranda asked.
Mary clearing ignored Miranda as she turned to Anna. "Sweetie, did you finish that assigment?" she asked
Anna, surprised at her mother obvious dislike for Miranda nodded quicky "Of course."
Eveything Miranda said to Mary throughout dinner was ignored and Andy found herself beginning to get extremely pissed off with her mother.
"Have you heard from Axel lately Mum?" Alex asked
Mary shook her head. "I haven't, no."
"I was thinking of going out to the pri-" she cot cut off by her mother with a firm. "Don't go there." and Alex instantly stopped what she'd been about to say.
"Mum. What the hell?" Andy asked.
"We dont need to talk about this right now." Mary replied.
"Why because you don't want Miranda knowing where he really is?" Andy asked before she turned to Miranda. "My mother here usually says that Axel is in another start with his work when really he's in prison."
"Oh." Mrianda replied not knowing what else she should say due to the tone of Andy's voice.
"Yeah." Andy replied and glared at her mother.
After the awkwardness they finished off dinner before Mary stood to get the cark she'd made for Andy.
Andy, having calmed down smiled at her mother who smiled back at her. "Thanks Mum." she said as she looked down at the white chocolate cake with dark chocolate drizzled on top of it.
"You're welcome." she replied before she handed Andy over her late birthday present. "I know it's not much but I hope you'll like it."
"I'm sure I will." Andy said as she began opening the present and saw she got a few pairs of clothes. She hugged her mum. "Thank you." she said.
Anna handed her over a present as well and when Andy opened it she grinned when she saw a bottle of Jack Daniels. "Cheers sister.
Looks like we'll be drinking this later!" she said and winked at Anna.
"She most certainly won't be!" Her mother replied firmly.
"Oh c'mon, I bet you were doing worse things when you were her age. A couple of drinks won't hurt!" Andy said.
After a bit more chatting Andy watched as Miranda excused herself to get some fresh air.
Curious Andy wolfed down the rest of her cake before she excused herself as well and went off to find Miranda.
She found her lover standing outside and was looking out into the garden.
It was dark but Miranda could still make out into the backyard. There were beds of flowers everywhere, a small bridge up the back with a pond, a fountain to the left, a small garage off to the right, and there was also a small old lamp post. And where she was standing would make a great entertainment area.
Andy walked over to Miranda and wrapped her arms around her lover from behind and rested her chin on Miranda's shoulder as she looked up into the night sky and enjoyed standing with Miranda.
"Such a beautiful backyard." Miranda softly said and continued. "The one thing that annoys me about having the townhouse in the city is that the backyard is so small but this backyard is huge. It's the sort of placed I would love to get married in." she said wthout exactly thinking what she said.
Andy smiled. "I think that would be really beautiful." she replied and could already picture their wedding day." She hoped that it'd happen someday. "I love you. I hope, when the time is right, I'm able to marry you someday." she whispered voicing her thoughts.
They'd never spoken about marriage before and Miranda found herself smiling at these words as she'd love nothing more then to be able to marry her lover and spend the rest of her life with her. "I hope so too." she softly replied.
They soon made their way back inside and sat at the table.
Andy watched as her mother stood and took the plates into the kitchen and she followed after her. "Are you going to be like this towards Miranda for the whole fucking weekend?" she asked.
"No need to use that sort of language Andrea." Mary replied as she put the plates quite loudly in the sink. "and yes. I don't know what you could possibly see in that woman!" she hissed at her. "She's 3 years older than me for crying out loud!" this was something that caught Miranda's ears. She'd had no idea.
"I think she's the sexiest woman I've laid my eyes on." Andy replied.
Her mother wasn't pelased tohear this.
"I just.." Andy sighed and shook her head. "Can't you be polite and talk to her just for a short while at least for me?" she asked.
"I can't do that Andy not when I know she's going to hurt you. I don't want that to happen again. It hurt me as well when I saw how heart broken you were. Don't you remember how you were when Carrie did what she did. You wouldn't eat for days!" Mary replied. "You know she's going to do what Carrie did, you do realise?" she said.
"How many times do I have to tell you? Miranda is nothing like Carrie!" Andy said loudly drawing the other womens attetion to them. "I love Miranda with my whole heart. I've never been more happy then I am when I am with her. Can't you see that? Why is it so hard for your thick head to fucking understand that?" Her mother reamiend quiet and And shook her head as she felt tears welling up in her eyes by her mothers behaviour.
Miranda stood and made her way over to her lover. "Andrea." she said as she put her hand on her lovers shoulder. "Come on lets go to yo-" she got cut off by Mary.
"Her name is Andrea not Ahn-drey-a. It sounds absolutely ridiculous when you pronounce it like that." Mary said glaring at Miranda.
This only made Andy get angrier. "We're leaving. I can't stand being around you when you won't even try to be polite with my gfirlfriend. I don't want you to make contact with me again unless you're going to apologize and are willing to get to know Miranda if not don't bother calling me." she said and turned around. "Miranda!" she said over her shoulder as she made her way to her bedroom to get their things together.
Miranda gaved Mary a cold gare. "I hope you now realise just how much your attitude is hurting your daughter." she said and with that she turned around and left the room.
Alex, Sarah and Anna were lift to sit awkwardly at the table.
"I just can't beleive she's acting like this." Andy said as she began dumping clothes in her suitcase. "Shes never been like this ever!" she said as she fely herself becoming more angry with the way her mother wsas acting.
"Hopefully now that she sees how upset you are she'll come around." Miranda said softly as she stepped closer to her lover and placed her hands on top of Andy's shoulders who was now trying to get the suitcase to zip closed but it wasn't cooperating.
"Bastard of a thing!" Andy hissed in frustration.
"Darling, calm down." Miranda said.
"I'm sorry." Andy said with a sigh as she turned and looked at her lover.
"She'll come around." Miranda said again. She just hoped that it was true because she knows how much Andrea's family means to her and how it'd extremely hurt her if her mother were to never speak to her again.
"I know, I'm just over reacting." Andy said as seh pulled away and ran a slightly shaking hand through her thick hair.
Their was a knock on the door and Andy turned around and frowned when she saw Alex as she'd been hoping to see her mother who had come to apoligize. But of course that wasn't going to happen.
"You know she'll come around. Once she realises how she's acting she will." Aleiix said.
"Like I said to Miranda I know I'm jsut overreacting." Andy replied.
Alex nodded. "You're alright then?"
"I'll be fine." Andy nodded with a small smile.
"Alright then. We'll see you when we get back to the City on sunday." She replied before she turned and gave Miranda a smile. Then she left.

"Well, we're off. " Andy announced as they entered the living area, their suitcases rolling behind them.
"Please stay Andy." Mary said as she stood from the couch.
Andy shook her head. "I can't stay until you can support my relationship with Miranda. I love her and that is never going to change." she replied.
Mary remained quiet and Andy took that as her reply. Her mother wasn't going to accept it just yet. Hopefully given time she will.
"Bye then." Andy said as she hugged her mother. Then she turned to Anna. "Well sis, It's been great seeing you again. We'll have to organise for you to come to the City sometime soon." she said with a smile.
Anna hugged her. "It was great seeing you too. I can't wait to come to the City again. Love you." her sister replied and Anna looked at Miranda. "It was so awesome meeting you. You'l have to show me Runway when I come to visit." She said.
"I'd be happy too." Mrianda replied with a small smile.
Andy then grabbed the handle of her suitcase and Alex helped with Miranda's as they made their way down the hall and outside to the waiting towncar that Miranda had called for.
Andy hugged Alex.
"I'm sorry about tonight." Alex said when she pulled back. "You sure you're okay?"
Andy nodded and smiled at her sister.
"Rightio. Text me when you land. Catch you later Miranda!" Alex replied before she closed the door to the car.
When the car pulled away from her childhood home was when Andy finally allowed the tears that were welling up in her eyes to fall. She leaned into Miranda and buried her head in her lovers warm neck and she silently sobbed.
