Final word (hopefully) on Diclectin--I was speaking glibly of "Unisom" in previous entries, unaware that the brand name "Unisom" is used for two completely different drugs in the US and Canada. The active ingredient in Unisom in the US is doxylamine (the ingredient in Diclectin), whereas in Canada the active ingredient is diphenhydramine ( Read more... )

I didn't know that about Unisom until you pointed it out. I do remember, though, that my mom once got very frustrated at not being able to find Gravol when on vacation in the U.S.. The pharmacists had no idea what it was, and my mom didn't know the scientific name.
