My eyes are the same color as yours*! I've never known what to call them. I usually go with brown, because green/hazel are not as common so I felt like claiming them with any hint of invalidity would be pretentious and obnoxious. Like people who call their eyes "seafoam." Usually I can compartmentalize and not feel any generalized dislike for the person, but, things like that just grate on me.

I have irrationally strong feelings about labeling eye colors.

(*most of the time. Sometimes they look very much like a pure brown, sometimes they look much closer to green/hazel)

See, hazel is a legal option on driver's licenses etc so I feel like it's a totally valid choice, not like "seafoam". My Canadian permanent resident landing papers even say "hazel" on them under eye color. So don't worry about appearing pretentious!

Freezer tetris. Love it.

I haven't asked permission yet, but I'm hoping to profess vows as Br. Michael of the Divine Mercy. It used to be a tradition of ours to profess religious names, or at least emendations like the one I'm hoping for. It's not in practice much now, but I think if I ask it'll be cool. We'll see.
