Watership Down Dream

Oct 02, 2009 10:35

Last night's dream featured the metaphor of Watership Down to explore the differences--not in forms of government--but in the Windows and Linux operating systems*, and also the relative current popularity of LiveJournal vs. Facebook for social networking.

I merely dreamed of drinking lots of water. I apparently didn't drink enough of it last evening.

Yeah, I only woke up twice last night to go to the bathroom.

I can't *wait* to tell them about this dream at acupuncture!

Facebook presumably where the most fluffy cutesy inane bunnies hung out? (well, I only use it for pointless fluff.. :) )

Your brain sounds an interesting place, for varying values of "interesting" :)

Kind of. Facebook overcrowded because of so many people all wanting do the same thing. Too many people acting all alike with no room to be individuals.

And thank you, I think. :) This was the most interesting dream I have had in a long while.

goodness -- i would love to have a peek into that dreamtime!

Can you make heads or tails of it this morning to explain it at all? It sounds fascinating.

Efrafa = Windows?

(I had a dream a year or two ago about how they installed Vista on all the computers on campus except in the library, and it caused some sort of rift in the space-time continuum. I told one of our network admins about the dream and he said "yeah, that's why we haven't installed Vista...")

Something like that. And in Linux there is no need for Owsla, because there is no need to fear death from the sky (read: viruses). Facebook was full of too many people all trying to do the same thing and creating overcrowded conditions. The dream was definitely in favor of both Linux and LiveJournal as more ideal ways to live. :-)

The network admin's response to your dream is priceless!
