Last night's dream featured the metaphor of Watership Down to explore the differences--not in forms of government--but in the Windows and Linux operating systems*, and also the relative current popularity of LiveJournal vs. Facebook for social networking.

Last night rfunk and I wanted to watch our latest Netflix DVD, Season 2 of Mad About You, but since we are in the middle of painting the living room there are several bookcases and other oddments stacked in front of the entertainment center. Well, for starters, I'm a Star Trek geek. I recently inherited my cousin's collection of Star Trek: The Next Generation VHS tapes, and I have been watching them off and on for about a month. A week ago I noticed that my cat Ki had a rash on his back. I had noticed that he was begging me to scratch him there, but it wasn't until he started losing fur that I realized it was a problem. I took him to the vet on Saturday. The vet said it was an allergic reaction. She treated him with an antihistamine for the itching, and gave me drops ( Read more... )
