Surviving the American diet

As I said before I left for the conference last week, I was a bit worried about the available food choices for the 3.5 days that I would be eating catered breakfasts and lunches, and eating supper at a restaurant. Thanks. That trip was a big test for me, actually. I only did so well because I planned my strategies ahead of time. I was pretty stressed about it, actually. But I found that, with a plan (and snacks) in place, I wasn't even tempted by coffee cake. (I was a little tempted by cheese, but I only gave in a little. :-)

LOL, thanks. Actually I'm mostly annoyed with the American diet. I'm sick of eating food that makes me feel bad. I wish there were better eating options when you can't fix your own food. I feel lucky that we had pretty decent catered food.
