I think I have that Frou Frou song here, on an unofficial Birds of Prey soundtrack somebody put together.

"Somebody to Love" is a great song, but one of only two Jefferson Airplane songs I really like. Definitely the kind of thing to listen to on vinyl though. I have some 70s live LPs (Cheap Trick, Peter Gabriel, Tom Petty, Kiss) that I pull out occasionally too.

I'm still working on digesting the 23+ CDs I've received in the past week or so, so there aren't many individual songs going on right now. Scratch that, I'm still working on digesting the CDs I've bought in the past *six months*. In most cases I still can't match up sounds with song titles. But it's all good.

I guess these songs stand out in my mind right now....
Room Nineteen - The Eleventh Hour
Jody Nicks - Tell Me
Chance - Say What You Will
Darcy Fray - Murder in Bombay
Anet - Nicotine
Tegan & Sara - Walking With A Ghost
Sahara Hotnights - Alright Alright

In addition to Somebody To Love and White Rabbit, I also like the instrumental Surrealistic Pillow. But yeah, I really don’t like any other of Jefferson Airplane’s songs. They are too psychedelic.

I haven’t heard of any of the songs or bands on your list. Clearly I need to get out more.

I think only the last two of the bands I listed have gotten any mainstream play. (I first heard that Tegan & Sara song on CD101, and the Sahara Hotnights song was also on the bootleg Birds of Prey CD I have.) Room Nineteen is a Columbus band I know of because I had an uncle who knew someone in the band, and gave me a CD a decade ago. (I recently found out I now work with someone who's friends with the band.) Most of them I first heard on podcasts.

Since I know nobody's heard of most of them, I made sure to include links for all those bands.

Yes I saw that. I will have to take a listen when I am at home and can actually download music clips.
